I was going to say I was glad I finished this before the issue arose, except I'm almost sure I completed the quest after yesterday's patch.

Really? That would be weird, as it came into being with either Patch 1.1.2.4 or 1.1.2.6 . But we are aware of the bug and are still searching for the issue and solution.

EDIT: Ah wait... did you perhaps finish it with 1.1.2.4? If so that would mean that the bug got into the game with 1.1.2.6 - that information would actually be a great help.

Yes, I believe it was 1.1.2.4 that I finished it on. I didn't update again until today directly to 1.1.2.7. However, I think I may have started the quest on 1.1.1.8 or 9, if that makes a difference. Hope that helps.
Sorry for the double post, but in addition to wanting to be sure you saw the information in my last post, I also wish to know if this has been resolved. There is a new hotfix, but it makes no mention of this.
I'm playing a new game starting with Patch 1.1.2.6 + 1.1.2.7 and I ran into the issue with this quest. The setqueststage 250 fix worked for me without crashing.
Same bug. Version: 1.1.2.9
I may have patched to this version while halfway through the quest. Not sure.

Setting the quest to 250 worked. Thanks.

Nope, still no solution - while we still have some angles of "attacking" the bug, we want to evade the dirty brute-force methods until we have tried everything else - as one never knows if sth else breaks by doing so :/

Yeah, mee too, and, correct me if I'm wrong, this only happens when you decide to give Meldor in, and Mathilda lives?
Im gonna post what i posted to the other topic

"ok, so i found a fix but it doesnt entirely work (meaning it may crash)
so 1. activate the quest and put in the command console " showquesttargets " and get the quest id
2. next, put in the console " player.sqs <quest id> "
3. finally, put in the console " setstage <quest id> <stage> " however i think you use the 2nd to last option (for me it was 250)

for me, i had to put in " setstage nq15 250 " and it worked for me

BUT!!!!!

there was a problem, the quest completed and i exited the building and my game crashed so i would recommend keeping autosave turned on"
