Whenever I save my game by hitting the "esc" key, the save game page comes up with an "New Save" slot available. I click on it and the window closes and a "game saved sucessfully" pops up BUT there is NO saved game when I try to reload it. I can quicksave by using F5 and the game will autosave when I sleep or at certain points in the game but it will NOT save when I hit the "esc" key and try to save a game like that. Anyone got any ideas on what I should be doing. I have a feeling I'm going to get caught with my pants down at some time by relying on a quicksave and an autosave slot. BTW, my Oblivion saves show up in the save list. Any help would be appreciated.
Your savegames should show up in the same folder as the "normal" Oblivion saves, if that's not the case try to locate the folder where the Nehrim savegames are.
It would be nice to know on what system your computer is running (Win7, Win Vista, WIn XP, Linux etc.). Because the game locates the saves in other folders. On my computer (Win7) was it in Documents/Bethesda/Oblivion.
And your game has a "savepath" where the savegames go, normally it loads the savegames from the same Folder but I guess you are the exception (or nothing goes and it's a Gamebug).

I'm running Windows Vista on a 4 year old computer. Dual core 2.4ghz, Nvidia GT 9800 with 2gigs of Ram. My save games for Oblivion are in the right folder C://Documents/My Games/Oblivion/Saves. Thats where the quicksave and autosave for Nehrim are located also. But when I try to save a game by hitting esc, it tells me game saved sucessfully but then the game that I thought I'd saved does not show up in the folder!! I've searched everywhere I know to search but I can't find nothing. If the quicksave and autosave are saving to the correct folder I'm scratching my head as to why my other games aren't saving correctly.

Alternative solution: Save your game using the console ("save blahblah" saves your game as blahblah.ess).
