Is the x in a lake and how do I get their?

Or do I encounter the location later on in the main quest?

And why when I get confronted by that guy if you can give him 20 coins or not, I gave him 20 coins and I tried to enter the coach, oblivion crashed.

Is the x in a lake and how do I get their?

Not sure exactly what you are referring to. It would help if you were a bit more specific. I think you are wondering about the "treasure map" note you find in your chest? If that is what you mean then, no, the "X" is not in the lake. It is on an island. And you can get there by running or swimming. And no, the main quest will not take you there later. That location is really the first stage of that particular side-quest.

Again, more specifics would be helpful. What guy? I think I know what you are referring to but giving him 20 coins has nothing to do with the game crashing. I am not positive but I believe the hit and miss crashing upon activating a door has to do with an inherent instability in Oblivion. I think it has to do with the audio files believe it or not. It happens to me once in a while too. Reload a save and try it again. If the crashing when opening doors happens consistently then it might be a more serious issue.

I'm having trouble finding the location from the treasure map.

Perhaps a screenie of a map with a marker would help?
