I'm having a problem with external (keyboard-controlled) volume. It doesn't work. I've already Unchecked the 'Allow ...exclusive control...' in the Audio properties. I have everything turned off in Steam, and start Steam in offline mode. I tried adding a [Controls] section to the .ini file with the parameter bBackground Keyboard=1 (This worked in other Bethesda games, but doesn't seem to work in Enderal.) I like to have external volume control/muting in case of interruptions, etc. Is there a setting somewhere to enable keyboard media keys?

(I personally don't use this function, so I can only tell you what internet searches told me)
it seems like these keys either work with Skyrim (and therefore Enderal) or they don't.
maybe it's the engine that decided to make your life a bit harder, maybe it's the keyboard that doesn't play well with it.
you could try if it works with a windowed mode
(it doesn't for me, but i have a pretty old keyboard)
hopefully someone else has some more experience with that
a workaround would be to tab out and mute the game (that should work pretty stable and not-crashing),
even if it's less than ideal.
