I apologize ahead of time...I tried searching for the answer to this question both on Bing and in the Enderal Wiki. I wouldn't burden the forum if I had been successful...perhaps I'm just not using the right search terms.

I'm about level 62 now. I came out of the old Pyrean workshop near Thalgard ( had just recovered the crystal ) and I got a message on the screen that I now had the opportunity to change affinities from Blade master to Blade (?) Breaker. I chose to leave it the way it was. Just because I didn't know what Blade Breaker was or what the advantages would be.

Can someone explain what it is and why I might want to change affinities or not? And will that opportunity come again?

Or just give me a link to the Wiki or Youtube or perhaps another forum that will explain?

I didn't even know you could change your class;
apparently I'm playing to one-sided.

according to the wiki (list with bonuses)
the Blade Braker ist a Kombination of "Blade Dancer" and "Keeper".
(you probably set some more points into the "Keeper" tree?)

no idea if that message will show up again,
if you do want to change it would be probably best to reload

If not much has changed through updates, the affinities will be checked sometime after leaving the meditation level and possibly recalculated.
If new combinations are possible, you should see a message asking if you want to make changes.
Likewise the demand, whether you want to continue to search for changes or finalize.
A change of the affinity is only possible when changing the appropriate perks
not just like that.
But I do not know the exact script.

Thanks. I did add a point to Keeper. Even at Lvl 62 I'm having a hard time with the sunborn.

they made Thalgard more than difficult for me, even on level 80 or something

I tried to enter Thalgard "castle" but even finding a good hiding place & sneaking (2.5 x damage) and going through nearly 75 Starling arrows I didn't kill but one or two, before I decided i probably didn't have the firepower and needed to get back with the crystal cube, anyway. Wimped out, IOW.

Maybe, hopefully, when I'm at 80.
