I complete the opening quest, watch the videos, then crash. Have reinstalled twice, have reinstalled skyrim, and it always crashes on the load to the next part. I don't know what to do at this point.
Have tried out using a new installation package? Could be that yours is damaged.
I am having the same problem. I have a clean, new, installation of Skyrim--no mods no embs. I started the game yesterday and got through the "summer Day" quest--talked to Daddy, etc.

Then the cutscenes. They complete with "this is the story of someone who wanted to be free" (more or less).

This morning I updated Enderal (launcher said an update was available) and then went through the "new game" first "quest" again. At the end of the cutscenes I was I was thrown into a black screen with the sounds of a boat. It never got any further.

Tried several different things including "continuing" from a past save(?)-- on several occasions I was thrown into one of those screen where a framed scene is shown ad text is underneath it. Again it locked up right there. I even tried "loading" a game--at the top of a list of old Skyrim saves. Again no joy.

The game looks fabulous and I went to a lot of trouble to re-install Skyrim (after two years away) and i really want to play Enderal but I can't figure out what has gone wrong.

PS... in all these freezes, ctrl+alt+del brings up task manager which says "Skyrim is not responding."

Please help...any suggestions welcome.
Same thing happens to me. Tried to download installer and files here instead of nexus, same issue.
Please install the newest patch 1.1.5.3. It should solve these kind of issues. If it doesn't report it at our bug tracker.

I did that this morning. And last night I updated my video card drivers. None of it helped.

I loaded a previous game but it started right at the beginning of the first quest. Same thing happened as before--got through the cutscenes and then a black screen with sounds of a ship. Can't get out of that screen except by ctrl+alt+delete.

I saw your post and tried to make a report at the bug tracker but it doesn't recognize my login. I tried using the same one as I'm using here--no joy. There doesn't appear to be an option to register and the log-in error message says to contact yet another bunch (JIRA administrators).

It's really frustrating.
My mistake...I found a link to report a bug and did so--no log-in needed. A little confusing interface but it's done now.

I would wish that something more concrete in the way of support could be had here. Maybe some suggestions?...just to keep me busy and thinking the problem will go away. :mrgreen:

How long before the SureAI team fix this bug?
We are using an external tracker (completely other software) of course you can't lock in.
We can easily link to tickets together, close them much, have a better overview and the software has overall more usability.

Upload your savegame in your bug tracker ticket. We have to check for reproducibility.
Savegames are located here: documents\mygames\skyrim\saves
A savegame consists of two files: one .skse file and one .ess file (please zip them together)

Did that...failed to zip them (sorry). And I mistakenly attached two shortcut links.

I have seemingly resolved this issue. I think the last update might have done it (that or disabling Nexus Mod Manager although I renabled it after I got past the initial quest). But I never started a new game after the update--relying on a savegame that opened up at the very beginning with me in the cart. I just figured it was an un-bugged savegame.

I understand that not starting a new game to test the update was an oversight. I apologize for not trying everything.

In any case I seem to be up and running...for now, knock on wood...and thank you for all the efforts. :thumbsup:
