So here I am at the ritual altar, I've followed Signet leader Jorek Bartarr to the rite place and when I take the strange potion and when the game is supposed to load or just when it's about to turn black the game stops answering and I have to use ctrl+alt+del to stop the process cuz the game just don't move on from there.

I need help. I am completely charm by this game and want to continue it but can't at the moment.

Does it freeze or does it crash completely?

Well freeze. The, Skyrim doesn't anwwere, thing.

Ok, check if the command in the console:

player.removeallitems

is freezing, too. If yes throw away some arrows which you carry around.

Sorry noticed that save was directly at the rite. This one is just a bit before.

Oh yeah it does freeze but it freezes even after I removed a big chunk of arrows.

Ok, please check out the newest pacth 1.1.5.3 and check if it is freezing and read the notes. Thanks.

It's fixed. I removed all my gear and then it worked out just fine! Thanks!

Ehm, well it could be that your gold coins are freezing the game. You need the stuff after the quest :/

I'm at the main quest "Part of something momentous Part 2" and I'm currently stuck. Right after the incident with the crazed man in the woods when dunwar kills him, we arrive at the altar, the sigil master tells us the light-born are dead, and after some arguments, asks us to drink our potions.

My character does so, then passes out, and as the screen is fading to black...... the game just freezes and crashes. I've tried reloading, but its just not working.

Can someone help me? even if its just a console command to advance the quest to a next stage?

Have you a lot of clutter in your inventory e.g. arrows? Remove them and then try to drink the potion. See if it is still freezing.

Dropped arrows and the crash still happened. Apparently, it was the pennies. I dropped all my money on the stash, tried again and this time it worked.

Well this would have been my second guess. Thanks for the report. But the issue is already known. Merged into another thred.
