I cannot progress past the introduction, when the screen goes black after the fire Skyrim will stall until I alt-tab out and select it again, where windows will kill it due to unresponsiveness.
This is from a fresh install.
Are there logs or some kind of other debugging I can attempt?
Has this issue been seen around before?

Thanks
I'm having a nearly identical problem. I completed the intro quest (Sunny Summer's Day or whatever it's called?), the screen goes dark, but I hear some dialogue begin. While the dialogue is happening, my cursor changes to the windows loading spinning circle. The dialogue continues with occasional stutters, but there is no video and when I hit escape I get the notification from Windows saying that Skyrim is unresponsive and asking if I want to close it or wait for it to respond.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional, i7-5820 3.30 with an AMD R9 390.
This is a common problem between the engine and bink videos.
Try to switch between window mode and fullscreen in the launcher. You have to disable "OneTweak" to do so.
I updated my laptop drivers and it works, although very slowly. In fact, it looks like memory goes crazy during certain loading transitions, especially when returning from meditation in which it doubles briefly before unloading it.
Memory management in general seems iffy with this mod and my laptop, unfortunately, its requirements and graphics exceed normal Skyrim pretty significantly.
