So I uninstalled enderal manually by deleting all the necessary files and removing the local content a few times, but now, NPCs don't have a voice and quest dialogue (i.e. Ralof talking when you start a new game) doesn't appear. I have not messed with any .ini files or anything, so idk what's going on.
You are not supposed to uninstall manually: The launcher does all that kind of stuff. Remove the whole Skyrim directory. Redownload Skyrim from Steam and verify the Integrity of the game cache afterwards.
I have tried that 3 times now and it has no effect.
Have you deleted the .inis from your documents/my games/skyrim?
That fixed it! Thank you!
I do not know if I am in the correct forum section, and I am sorry if I am.
A while back I installed Eneral, played it for a while, and then uninstalled Skyrim. I THOUGHT I had un installed Enderal as well, but I do not think that I have.
My issue is that when I play Skyrim, the NPCs will not speak. I can interact with them and select dialogue, but when I do they just stand there and look at me. This his made it to where I cannot progress through the game.
I have tried uninstalling Skyrim, deleting all of the local content, going into the x86 files and deleting everything Skyrim related from there and then reinstalling, but nothing will help.
I have made sure it was not a mod that I have installed.
Any help is much appreciated!
