Hey, so I just installed this game today. I got to the part where you meditate and appear on some sort of island right after being thrown off the ship before I logged off for dinner. I saved, and quit. When I came back to the game I tried to reload and got the message "Skyrim has stopped working." I've tried deleting all my saves and starting over because I read that one corrupted save could corrupt all of them. I've restarted my computer. I'm about to try reinstalling the game. Anyone have ANY tips or advice before I do that?
On a separate note, any changes I make in the settings on the launcher immediately turn off even if I hit save changes. That's pretty annoying. Any tips on this as well would be appreciated.
I've been having this same issue as well, but much deeper into the game (about 55hrs);
I roll back to a previous save file, and progress forward again, but any new saves after that point return to a CTD on load.
I'd really rather not restart from a 55hr deep save if I could help it...

Does this problem still occur? Upload your LauncherLog and a savegame:

A savegame consists of two files: one .skse and one .ess (please zip them)
