Oh yeah, me too. I hope he doesn't screw it up and infect the city.

Or maybe the only diff is the rewards? The apothecary can afford to give you more while Bal appeals to your heartstrings.

I don't think so. I've played through this twice and I wasn't able to give the mushrooms to the Sun Temple apothecarii as it was continuously locked no matter how long I waited, so I gave them to Bal both times.
