Anyone else running into this? Enderal version - 1.1.1.1 and today's Steam update seem to be making system hang-- esp. on saves.

Task Manager won't end task & "reboot" just sits there. Had to force shutdown & now just powering off via taskman.

3.5 MB saves aren't that big yet are they?

Wondering if 2GB video card might be culprit, but that wouldn't explain why it seemed to be OK yesterday. (Think they do suggest 4GB tho.)

What I've tried:

Since overclocked, reset bios to default. Didn't seem to make any difference.
Adjusted sliders & unchecked any "experimental multithreading" No luck.
Save even more often. Now it *really* wants to hang.

Put it back the way I had it. Good for maybe 30 minutes and back to square one.

Can you roll back an update from Steam or Enderal? Any ideas for Enderal (Skyrim.ini) tweaks?

Hoping won't have to uninstall / reinstall.

sys info if helps:

If system hangs in Windows 10 because of Steam or Enderal updates, here's how I accidentally fixed it. (If happens to anyone else.)

In task manager under details tab, select svchost.exe

You can't shut this down without rebooting, so a message box appears with a check box. "Windows requires this, sure you want to reboot anyway? Etc."

Click the "Yes" check box & "reboot" or "OK" button. (forget what it said exactly)

Blue screen: "Windows has encountered a fatal error and is gathering diagnostic information, etc., etc."

I was only after a way to do a soft reboot, but have to hand it to Microsoft. Tried Enderal one last time expecting I'd have to reinstall game.

Presto! Enderal ran like it did before two updates may have conflicted with each other, or maybe something got corrupted. Whatever it was, "MS to the rescue!" Never thought I'd be saying that about a corporate giant.
