Opening cutscene [solved]
Post by CustardGod »
I can hear the opening cut scene after talking to my father in the house but it is just a black screen and my cursor starts only showing the loading circle. The audio also cuts in and out. I think I have properly disabled my mods by disabling them in mod organizer but I'm not 100% sure.

EDIT: Letting it run all the way through will load the game the comes after. I just let it do that and watched the intro on youtube instead but I'll leave this here for anyone who might want to fix it.

The cut scene I'm referring to is this one.

This happens with all cut scenes it seems. It just shows the first frame and has the same problem as before. It happened in the second cut scene right after

Sirius is killed on the ship and you're thrown off.

This seems to be an issue for some people who run Skyrim in Windowed Mode. Try deactivating OneTweak and the Windowed Mode for the beginning and they should play as intended.

Are those the only 2 cutscenes that are like that? If they are I guess there's no point in fixing it but if there are more like that I'll go into fullscreen. Thanks for the reply.

Hi,

there is a total of 4 cutscenes
They are stored here \Skyrim\Data\Video
i downloaded and installed and updated like i was supposed to and used medium graphics and everything was fine, i eventually got to the burning kitchen at the end of the first mission where apparently a cutscene was supposed to start, there was sound but im sure there was also supposed to be video, after a few seconds the window goes grey and when i click it says " program stopped responding wait til react or close" even though the sound keeps going. and then the sound makes a second of silence and then it continues and makes a second of silence again and i stopped there cause i'd imagine all cutscenes will end up like that.
my pc made all the recommendations except the graphics card is alittle off but its fine on medium graphics and i'd like a fix on this.
Below is my opinion and don't open the spoiler if you're sensitive, you have been warned!

In my opinion this mod was released too early and wasnt given enough testing. by oprning this spoiler you have agreed to remain mentally sane.
The video files have some troubles with window mode on certain PCs. Disable it and yu should be fine.

It's not released too early. You can't tell that from just playing the intro and running into a known issue (to us). We have playtested for a good year. 1700 applications for alpha and beta. 300 were invited. 50 answered our invitation email. 10 were active. End of the story.

Sometimes the game goes inactive during loading screens and sequences. But if you dont klick around, it will eventually load.
How exactly do you disable the video? Because it's so very annoying sitting there while it stutters for 10 minutes trying to get through the intro.

Disbale OneTweak in the launcher by simply clicking on it. Then disable the checkbox in front of "Window Mode". It will start in fullscreen.
Thank you very much! That solved the problem instantly.
I haven't played much of the game as of yet, (I'm at the quest where you are searching the local town for information about the priest guy who blew himself and his pupils up) but I've noticed that what I assume to be cutscenes aren't properly loading. I can hear all of the audio for the scenes, but my Enderal window becomes unresponsive for the full duration of the cutscene. I saw the first 2 seconds of the cutscene you see after being thrown over the boat at the beginning of the game, but immediately after the 2 seconds the window became unresponsive and defaulted to a black screen. Since then, no cutscenes have been playing. Just a black screen and audio.

I don't have any mods downloaded as of now. I fresh reinstalled Skyrim right before installing Enderal, so I don't think I have any conflicting files or mods. When the game was installing via the launcher the very first time, it finished installing then proceeded to begin installing again? (I believe it said 2 of 2 or something along those lines when insalling) But after it started the second phase, the launcher crashed. I restarted it and updated the game and everything aside from the cutscenes seem to be working properly. I did have one crash when loading back into the main overworld from a building, but that was the only crash I've seen so far. If anything else happens I can update this thread.

I appreciate any and all help. If I'm just being dumb and overlooking something, I apologize. I'm pretty sure I installed everything correctly but it wouldn't surprise me if I messed it up somehow.
I have the same problem. My Cutscenes do not play, only blackscreen and audio. Well, The audio barely works too. The audio is working the first 2 sec then it starts to lag. I just installed skyrim and enderal so i have just started to game. The first cutscene after your father starts to say to bring him meat, that cutscene do not even work.
[Sorry for my bad english]
Disable OneTweak and put the game into fullscreen mode. This is a bug with windowed mode and the Bink video the cutscenes are rendered in.
It Works! Thank You! :D
