Black Stone Hunt WTF
Post by Selhan »
Why the heck do I need to bribe the guard in front of the Dal'AssholeWithABlackStone house? I am the best pal with the dictator of the country! Shouldn't I be able to just, I don't know, show him my badge and walk in? That just doesn't make sense. And the Order won't even pay it as travel expenses. Pff.
If your rhetoric skill had been higher, you could have saved yourself the trouble to bribe him.
And the price isn't that high IMO...

By the time you get there you should have enough funds to bribe your way into the house, no?
You're right, it doesn't make sense, but neither do a lot of other things? Why do bandits not get attacked by the skeletons, zombies, and giant rats living beside them in caves? Why are there Nehrimese soldiers in northern ruins? Why do caves and dungeons where no human has set foot for hundreds of years have burning torches and candles? Why are so many potions in caves and dungeons rancid, yet right beside them are apples, potatoes and carrots in perfect condition? Why do spiders have 8 legs when insects do perfectly well with only 6? (sorry, got carried away there)

There's a difference between plot holes overlooked by the creators and a quest that doesn't make any sense. Also, bandits DO get attacked by the skeletons (you even get the XPs form their death). Also, spiders are much better runners thanks to their eight legs. Also, burning torches in abandoned caves irritate me immensely, but what can you do, eh?

You click on each one as you encounter it to extinguish it, so the next player through won't be irritated.

That's what undead do in their free time: lighting torches and braziers. Imagine you sit in a dark and damp cave all day, no adventure stupid enough to come in for days. Must be boring as hell. So what does our inventive Draugr or Fleshless One do? Make the place look more inviting with cozy torchlight and warm braziers!

(sorry, couldn't resist)
They must also have some giant boxes full of candles!
