Right now I have a heavily modded Skyrim playthrough going on and I wanted to know if it's safe to just install Enderal on top of it. Will it work? Will my other mods break it or vice versa?
No, you do not need a clean install. The launcher creates a backup of your existing Skyrim files. if you want to play Skyrim again, just uninstall Enderal. It automatically moves your Skyrim backup to the right place.
If you entcounter issues try to install Enderal with a clean version of Skyrim.

Alright, thanks. Does that include Skyrim ini-files in the documents folder though? Since some of them are changed by certain mods.

No, the backup only includes the Skyrim directory: C:\program files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\

Careful with your inis! If you have heavily tweaked inis Enderal might not start or crash every minute.
Your saves will also be untouched by our launcher. The Enderal saves will be saved in the same directory. Careful: do not try to load Enderal saves into Skyrim and the other way round. They will become corrupted files. (You start with a brand new character) You can rename your current savegame folder and switch it back if you want to play Skyrim again.

Thanks for the info. I was about to install it. I'll just manually back up my documents folder for Skyrim and re-download it to make sure it's safe to use.
