Hello there,
I have finally downloaded Enderal, and made a copy of my skyrim folder. But somehow, Enderal always wants to be in the same folder as skyrim. But I do not want this, because I like to play Skyrim sometimes, and then Enderal, and therefore I made a copy of the skyrim folder named "Skyrim Enderal". However, whenever I want to launch the enderal launcher, it detects the path and says that it isn't in the skyrim folder.... Can I somehow disable this behaviour or set a custom path? Because I want to keep both folders, and dont want to rename the skyrim (original) folder, because of nexus and steam.
thanks
When you install Enderal it backups all of Skyrims files into a seperate backup folder - afterwards the Launcher does have an option called "Installation ändern", there you can either deinstall Enderal or backup it. If you backup it, it will put all of your Skyrim files back into the Data folder and moves Enderal's files to the backup folder.

This means you can always switch from Skyrim to Enderal and vice versa. This also includes any mods for either Enderal or Skyrim, those will also be backed up and a txt file is made which saves the load list of your mods and automatically adjusts it everytime you switch.

You can also do it your way: then you simply need to copy the Skyrim folder and just like you did, rename the copied folder into sth like Skyrim 2 or such. Now you simply install Enderal into your original Skyrim folder and then you already have one folder with Enderal and one without. If you want to play Skyrim again, you simply rename the Skyrim folder with Enderal installed into something like Enderal and the Skyrim 2 folder back into Skyrim. And this again vice versa if you want to play Enderal again.

The problem is not our launcher but the Steam launcher, as that one only starts the game from a folder called Skyrim, hence we had to do it that way ^^

EDIT: Beware though of 2 things - firstly I advice you to deactivate the Steam cloud for Skyrim, or Enderal saves will "infest" your cloud, also you should go under My Documents/My Games/Skyrim and rename your save folder into sth else, so that you can completely seperate Skyrim and Enderal.
Thank you for your reply. Well, I already saved everything, but I will have to change my cloud config. About steam: it is possible to launch skyrim copies from not skyrim paths - thats why I wanted to let the original skyrim remain in the skyrim path and the enderal in an new path. I mean you can simply say it is a non-steam game you want to import into steam, and everything works.... (I tried this)
But I think I have to do it as the program says i have to do it :(
You see, I have a dilemma. my Skyrim folder is 100gb at least (Mod Organizer has a ton of mods in it). Does Enderal back up all that too? If so it just won't be feasible for me as I don't have the space D:
