Not a problem, I just wanted to know what was your opinion about that mods, not actually asking to implement them in Enderal (they will probably going to be ported anyway by modders) xD

But yeah, just the ability to dodge really gives you a new feeling about the combat system (it's like you are not nailed to the ground anymore). And you know what increase that feeling even more? When the enemies can dodge as well :D

True. Though I have played with TKDodge for my current playthrough for 12 hours now and there have not been any issues - I will need to discuss that with our tech lead first, though. :)
Are you playing in first or third person view? I imagine a dodging system like this to be a bit unintuitive and confusing, when used in first person. And wouldn't integrating such a mechanic make it necessary to change the whole enemy behaviour with something like Mortal Enemies, like Sancez suggested? I am totally in favor of enhancing skyrims combat system, but I'm a bit sceptical that it's possible to just include a dodge mechanic without mayor changes to the whole combat system and enemy balancing. What are your experiences in this playthrough so far?
As Nico had asked me to test it the same time as he started using it, I'll also share my experiences:

To my amazement it was completely fine for the balancing - Stamina is much more precious in Enderal than in Skyrim, especially as close combat fighter. Blocking is real in Enderal and without doing so you have a hard life ^^ (on the other hand it is really satisfying to see how an enemy's attack bounces off your shield, you look at your HP and see that it barely reduced while without blocking it would have taken 1/4 of your total health)

As such, using TKDodge is fine - I mainly use it to get close to mages as running at them upfront usually ends with your death. On the other hand I lose much Stamina till I arrive next to the mage, which reduces my means of attacking (or defending if there are other close combat fighters nearby).

As for being confusing, I can say the same as Nico - it actually became a bit of a second nature after a short while.

Obviously it is too early to say it is fine - after all it would be useless if the mod is just balanced when playing melee and utterly broken while playing a mage or rogue with bow. So it still requires some more testing ;-)
Ok, sounds great! Hopefully you can keep it then.
For archer dodging is very useful to avoid last second arrows from enemy archers. At least that's how I use it when I have to deal with an archer very far away.
Can someone please translate this article? http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/the-elder ... l#comments

The only german word I know is "danke" I'm afraid :)
I do not have the time to translate the whole text, but maybe you can use Google Translater or some other Translater to understand the Main Topics.
The release of the elaborate total conversion of Skyrim is to soon. We play the latest beta and gave us an overview of the key facts and figures that make this ambitious project so much more than just a mod.

This is the translation of the first part with google translater. I think it is good enough to understand the statement even if it is grammatical incorrect.
Not too much new information, actually. They are playing the beta right now and are genuinely impressed by the scope and the quality of the project. The arcticle basically aims to give people, that never heard of Enderal before, a of a short wrap up of the TC.

- There will be 4 smaller Settlements an one mayor city (Ark)
- The world has roughly the size of 2/3 of Skyrim
- 13 different "bioms" (desert, djungle, crystal forest, autum forest and many more)
- 40 new Weapons, 25 new armor sets, 20 new creatures (though it doesn't say how many are exclusively for Enderal and how many have already been puplished as standalone mods)
- Around 40% of the game assets and textures are taken from skyrim, the rest is new (some trees were even created via 3D-scanning)
- Completely new and overhauled sounds and around 3,5 hours of new soundtrack
- Over 80 (partly professional) voice actors: 45 german, 35 english
- Hundreds of pages of dialogues. The developers estimate that the total length is much higher (aprox. twice the amount) than Dragon Age: Inquisition
- New exp. based leveling system
- Nine talent trees with 22 custom new skills that replace the shouts of skyrim

The video shows the daily life at the market in Ark. For my taste the background music is bit too loud and some of the voice are too much "overlapping". Apart from that the atmosphere, dialogues and voice acting is top notch!

Edit: Some spelling mistakes removed, some more added :dumb:

nice summary :)
Thanks guys, not too many new informations but it's something. Also from the video I think I saw one of luddemann's armors, at least I hope it was. Luddemann was making lots of new armors for skyrim by combining different witcher 2 armors, the WIP images he had on his nexus page were really good, but he never managed to finish them. So I contacted him a long time ago to suggest him to move his work on Enderal and he actually opened a topic on this forum about that, but I don't know if the team managed to finish them and add them to the game. I hope they made it, at least that armor looks from luddemann's stuff.

Well, Gamestar is actually starting a mini series about Enderals beta. So there is more to come over the next few days. For a start they just released some new screenshots.

Regarding the armor: I have to admit that at first glance the style is really close to the ones luddemann made for credo. But i checked his nexus account a while ago and there is actually no such armor in his collection. I think they either made it exclusively for Enderal or got it from a different source,
It's a re-texture from Luddemans armor, yep. We worked with him on that. We would also loved to have more of his W2 ports in Enderal, but sadly, properly weighting them and creating female versions for all of them turned out to be too time-consuming for him. (I understand that, though, armor conversion is a bitch, particularly skinning)

Is that armor screenshot from Gamestar? I hope not. :(

Best,
Nic

Nope, no worries. It's from here. PaleBluedot accidentally postet an Enderal ticket in the Nehrim tracker a while ago....

And thanks for the clarification about the armor. I really like it. Great work from Luddemann. Too bad he doesn't have the time to do more.

I couldn't agree more. But we have some very nice armor in Enderal; particularly the sets look stunning. :)
I didn't mean the guard armor, but the one Jespar is wearing :D

So, if some of ludderman armors made into the game, may I ask if the thief armor is one of them? It was so damn good looking!

Ah, that one. Yeah, that's from Luddeman, too, only retextured. Can you shoot me a link to that thief armor?
The thief armor is one of Luddemann's unfinished works, he never released it so there is no link to post I'm afraid.
Best chance is to ask luddemann himself, I can ask him if you want (he replied the first time, should do a second one).

Yeah, do that! And ask him if it has, by chance, a female version too. :)
I'm writing to him right now. I would not hold my breath on the female version, Luddemann didn't even started on the female versions of any of his armors if I remember correctly, but I will look on the nexus to see if I can find some female armor that can serve as a good counterpart of this one.
The next part of the gamestar special is online. No new infos, but they seem to enjoy it a lot. The new Videos are the interesting part.
