The interviewers removed the video a few minutes after it was released and it seems that they weren't satisfied with it. We didn't make another interview with them - And because the interview was a waste of time for us I think we won't it again with them. I don't think this interview will be ever released again. Sorry, it's not to my hands.

There is still not that much new information, but because I'm now involved in the translation of books/texts for Enderal I don't know how much free time I have left anymore - so I'm gonna update the Q&A with less news from now on (unless there is a big reveal or sth
)
So let's get started:
First of all both Niko and Johannes recently said that the content of the german version is finished and already put in the game - that means they are currently only polishing and bugfixing. The time this will take is hard to guess but as they now can concentrate completely on the last part of the development their speed should be able to get a bit higher.
#2:
Johannes said just this week that the romances in Enderal work between any gender, so male - male, male - femela and female - female.
Also both Jespar and Calia have their own questlines spanning 6 quests each - these quests are meant to enhance the bond you have to them and to learn more about how they live and lived in the past.
#3: The aforementioned new screenshots:

This screen shows one of the abandoned mines in the Northwind mountains.

Here you can see Jorek Bartarr how he is just telling Calia and another person how the rumors of the Lightborns' deaths are true.
#4: Last but not least 2 new soundtracks by Marvin Kopp:
Forgotten Homeland
This is an exploration track.
A Brave New World
That is the track of 1 of the 2 possible endings

The music is absolutely awesome! It's hard to believe a video game would have such beautifully composed music! Well done!
I thought SureAI wanted to become a for-profit game developer. Everyone knows the proper professional thing to do is release the game with all the bugs in place, and then offer a patch every 2 weeks to fix them!
they are currently only polishing and bugfixing.
Thanks for the update!
That track, Brave New World, is beutiful!
Also, someone tell SureAi to fix Calia's boots clipping.

Resurrecting this topic with a question
In Nehrim the hunting was much better then in Oblivion. In Skyrim hunting was very bad, but the Hunterborn mod made it so much better. Actually, without Hunterborn hunting is pointless.
So my question is: how will hunting be treated in Enderal? Will stick to vanilla? Will be similar to Hunterborn (fine by me, I love that mod)? Will have completely new mechanics?
Also... What about release date?

Hah, you were a bit too fast
Wanted to update this thread yesterday originally but then I got stuck on updating ModDB...(yeah I'm quite the masochist - doing this here, translating books and now I took the helm for updating SureAI's ModDB site, so that they can concentrate on the development ^^)
Well back to topic:
First for your question: the hunting stays the same as Skyrim's - though I'm not sure how to judge that answer I got
Now onto the actual update (the answer to your second question also lies there)
#1 there were some new screenshots posted:

All three show the Crystal forest, an area of the Northwind mountains.
#2 A new soundtrack by Marvin:
Echo of the Past
It has a deep connection to the story
#3 An update of the development:
Currently Enderal has more than 3000 bugs fixed - this number is impressive on itself; but it gets ridiculous once you compare it to some other numbers: at the start of the alpha phase in mid-August just 600 bugs were fixed and the release version of Nehrim had only 600 bugs fixed, too!
Still they are far from finishing and SureAI proclaimed that they won't rush the release under any circumstances, so an official release date still remains to be seen

Thanks a lot for the quickly reply!
About hunting, it's better keeping it vanilla then doing just some little tweaks, this way we can port Hunterborn to Enderal much easier. Probably the author will do it himself too.
Well, looks like it will take still some other months, let's hope it will be finished before summer. Actually, even they need time until next christmas, I wouldn't mind to wait (well, I don't want to wait, but I will do it anyways, since it's better later and fixed then sooner and buggy).

Now your are taking "far" too literal
I guess it will be released around the end of March maybe a bit earlier, depending on how long the coming beta phase takes.

As long as there are already english subs, I wouldn't mind playing the german version if the english audio is not ready yet. I didn't mind it in Nehrim, I would not in Enderal. From what I understood the english translation (story, convertations etc) is already done, right? The only work in progress are the english voice over and the books?
For the german version - though the release of the german version with english subs should follow quickly, seeing the current translation speed
As for the english voiced version - that one will most likely take a bit longer, depending on how fast SureAI can fill the gaps in which they still need some more people (especially older women)
Basically yes, though there are still some miscellaneous conversations to be translated and also some german words which are important for the story (we have a reference spreadsheet in which we can discuss the final translation for each german word
)
Apart from that yeah mostly books, though also some item names or tool tips in the menu.

Well in turn with my first real article on Mod-DB another small update of the Q&A:
There were 3 new screenshots posted on Facebook:

All 3 pictures show the "Crystal Forest" a forest which is part of the Northwind Mountains.
The sub + question beforehand in the 3rd pic says:
Player: "This means the consciousness of one of the Pyraeans is resting in this temple?"
Constantin Firespark: "I'm doubting whether it really rests. Witnessing the downfall of their own civilisation and being bound in this place for centuries since then usually has a rather negative effect on the mind of a human."
Also Nico told me that they are thinking about selling Enderal's soundtrack as a CD/digital deluxe edition, next to the free download of the normal soundtrack

One month later - time for another update
The german version seems to be nearly done, at least Nico said that it shouldn't take that long anymore - I'm not sure whether it will release in February but I guess it will be ready at least till end of March (pls take that with a grain of salt as it is only speculation ^^)
Now for some more tangible info: the german version will have around 45 VAs, the english version around 30-35 - the german synchro was done with around 60% home studio, the english version with around 90%.
Btw the english synchro also now kicked off for real with SureAI sending the scripts even to those with lesser roles.
As for the translation: that one still goes strong, the translation team currently has more than 10 members and I hope we'll do a fine work for yours to enjoy
Now onto Enderal's length: SureAI recently did a dev run of Enderal's main quest (that means with skipping dialogue, side quests, exploration and with cheating to get to the end) and it took them around 38h! In comparison the same run in Nehrim took them 23,5h.
Last but not least some new screenshots:
An oasis in the Powder Desert

Temple on the Moonshine Island

45 VAs? Isn't that 4 times Bethesda's? Good to know, good to know, thanks for the new info.
What about the bug fixing? There were 5000 of them last time, hope there are some progress there too

Like holy ****?? 38 hours with all that skipped stuff? Am I going to enjoy this game so hard I almost can't imagine. I'm going to be so immersed with this game. Gonna drag it on as long as possible. Once again thank you so much SureAI for making this game
If game is almost done, maybe its time for Sure AI to give release date and share more info. It will make game sites share news and bring more attention to the project.
SureAI Facebook: "It's done when it's done."
So think the way to release isn´t so long.
