Hello,
I am very excited to have found Nehrim and it looks very fun to play.
However, I am aveing trouble starting the game.
I have installed Nehrim, the Oblivion.exe and bink32.dll are both in the Nehrim folder and in the data files only the three nehrim files are selected.
When I open the game, the loading screen is displayed, however it doesnt even get past 0. It crashes imediatly. I am useing a new laptop with 400GB of free hardrive space and 4GB of RAM.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I have also copied and pasted all of the nessasary .bsa files from my oblivion data folder to my nehrim folder. Now the loading screen does not even apear. A black text box appears and then a message comes up saying that oblivion has stopped working. I am useing Windows 7 64bit if that helps.
The same error happens when I try to start Oblivion.

I do have OBSE but i did not know that it was required to play Nehrim.
Hi.
Little confused
Do you have Oblivion installed and patched to latest correctly? Asking because you mentioned copying over bsa files, this would be automatically done on installation of Nehrim.
What graphics card does your laptop have?
If Oblivion installed and playing ok, I would suggest a complete reinstall of Nehrim to i.e C:\Nehrim. (UAC on win 7 can cause problems in other directories).

OBSE is NOT required for Nehrim. Although, if you have OBSE installed, you may need it - I don't know, honestly.
The easiest way to fix such bugs is to start with a CLEAN Oblivion installation (no OBSE, no mods, only patch 1.2.0416) and install Nehrim again. Then, if you want OBSE, install it again afterwards. To obtain a clean Oblivion installation, you should first remove your Oblivion, which can be somewhat painful indeed if you have 1000 mods, but you are free to make a backup copy of your Oblivion folder.

Thank you all for your replys. I resorted to just starting over and uninstalled then reinstalled both olivion and Nehrim and everything works now. Howerver, when I try to exit the game from either of them, the game freezes and I need to open the Task Manager to force it closed. Any idea wats going on now?
Hi.
Same happens to me from time to time, but I've always put it down to my use of nocd cracks and have never bothered trying to work it out. Hope you get a better response.

Hi
Just something I sometimes do, open task manager before playing game, if crashes alt-tab to open task manager - quicker than ctrl-alt-del and waiting.
