The game was working well except for the occasional crash, and I played for days until I got to the big city, and now the music doesn't play at all, and the controls stop working after a few minutes of play. I have to CTRL+ALT+DLT or ALT+TAB out when it crashes, but the game seems to still be working otherwise. The music doesn't even play when I first start it up. I was really starting to get into this game, and it stopped working. Does anyone have any ideas? I installed Oblivion and patched it with the most recent update. I have Windows XP all up to date and a nice video card that plays other games fine. What's the deal?

Another user pointed out it is a problem with the sound, saying you could delete your music folder or update your sound codecs with the K-lite codec pack.
I still haven't tried any of them, but I'm downloading the codec pack as I type this.
