Do not have long before connection drops out again. Wont be able to get on (internet) for another few weeks after this. So, hope you are all enjoying your holidays and a happy new year to all.

Maybe someone could pm me in a few weeks time with a quick update on Wiki and what is needed, best way of contacting people etc, would be much obliged.

I see a few people contributing and yes, maybe now we should think about another group -Helpers. So that htey are not anonymous users, but would feel as a part of our comunity :p Take a look at their user rights:

What do you think Shatar, Toxic (and any other who iis intrested in the Wikia?)
What should be requirements for becoming a helper? Or should people simply 'apply' by stating that they are willing to help form time to time here in this topic?

And I find a bit annoying this automatic message, lol, people think (and I uderstand them, I also thought it was actually Beck in person sending me this message) I send it to them sitting in front of Wikia all the time haha. The message is nice, because it gives a feeling that somebody appreciates our conttributios, but I would love to have in this message a notice which explains it's automatically-generated and if you have further questions, write here in this topic:p

I still need to work on some things for other pages, what I have so far doesn't work smoothly with the other pages yet because they're 2-column based instead of one. I just need to add some things to the code to get it working right. :]

Edit: Done! There are just a few tweaks that need to be made, but that I can't do until it's up on the site. Let me know if you're happy with the way it looks and when I can get it up to finalize everything. :]

After the main css is uploaded, then we can look into making content templates and changing the layout of the content on the home page. I have ideas for that too. ^^

I got inspired by Aalsper today about templates that I use. I didn't use any:P Well.... I didn't realize templates can be THAT useful ! So now we can finally apply unified layouts for all kinds of articles ! So every new contributor now can use the template and it will look like the other articles of the kind. And if you are not familiar with this 'table of contents' it is done in the templates !
Ok, so here's the templates I created:

Use Search: Template:People <-- then it find the template and you can improve it.

And one more, what do you think about changing People and Creatures and creating infoboxes instead of slideshows?

I couldn't change the coulours in the infoboxes. I guess it requires entering this 'css' or whatever you're doing , Toxic:p But with proper colours it could look attractive, what do you think ? I see lots of pages using infobxes. Like this one : http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Carver

The home page look fantastic.
The infoboxes seems interesting, maybe change the look in something more nehriminian. For places I think is better the slideshow because there are more photos of some places.
I saw the button Templates, but i don't figure out how to use it, instead i use copy/paste in Word and it works. Anyway very useful.
It is very important that we have a consensus on the main layout now when is not much "data", but after editing the existing pages again.

Glad you all like it. I'll have to wait until Monday to put it up, I don't have much access on the weekends. I like info boxes for specific characters. I agree with Garnet, for places slideshows would probably be more helpful. As for formating them, I can do that with the css so they always look the same, same with tables and thumbnails (preview shown in the last link).

I'm definitely up for helping with templates, though I'd like to first start working on the home page one. I have a few ideas (thanks kassandra for all the great links!) I'd like to show you all when I get a chance to finish the mock-ups. I definitely need input with them. :]

Maybe I missed some places, this is an older map and I found few places extra. There is a marked ruin above Erothin , but is not in game, or I miss something.

Nice job with the maps and Easter Eggs Only one thing aobut the maps... you can't read the letters, theyr' re too small. I was trying to change it, but I couldn't see any option apart from full size. I experimented a bit, created a link to a larger picture and put a full sized picture there (after making it a bit smaller) but still I'm not satisfied as Wikia interferes with the picture and you can't see some region of Nehrim:

So my Qestion to Toxic I guess: can you move the Wikia parts ( Acitvity, photos, more form wikia) so that it does not cover the map? Or do somehing else with Garnet's photos so that we can actually see the nammes of the camps etc?

@Garnet - I'm not sure what you mean? The last photos I uploaded were for the layout of the wikia (if I remember correctly). They shouldn't be put into any of the pages.

And sorry I won't be able to help too much until tomorrow. I share this computer so I can't exactly spend as much time on it as I would like on the weekends. :]

Don't worry for the maps, they works like others photo on Wiki, just click on the icon "view photo details" and in two clicks you get a full size map. Maybe just put a note for this option.

I see. But I assumed it.
I take a look in Weapons/Armors, maybe the Armour section need cleaning of armourset pieces, they have a separate section?

Wow Garnet, you're right , I was totally unaware of this option with photos. Already unlinked the camps and wrote how to have a full size map.
I'm not sure about the items section, as armour sets are a subsection of unique armor and in unique armour they direct to the page with armour sets, so I guess it's not confusing, at least for me:P
