Recently downloaded the nehrim torrent version. I have windows 7 home premium 64-bit. The error I get when running the installer is

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

Is there no way to get it to run? It's a clean install of Oblivion, I've tried disabling UAC, running as administrator, running from desktop, C:, and the Oblivion install directory.

Did not have that problem on win7 64bit. You could try right clicking and troubleshoot compatibility, run in xp mode.

Oops, forgot to mention I already tried that. Windows XP Service pack 3 compatibility. Should I try it in other compatibility modes?

If that doesnt work, another mode wont either.
Try redownloading the Installer, maybe from a different source. Might be a error in the download, corrupted file or something.

This is strange because I have win7 64 prof, and it runs without any compatibility mode.

On my Win7 64 Ultimate as well, thats why i guessed there could be a corrupted file in the installer.
