Hello everyone,
First of all, I didn't have any idea how to classify the topic, so I chose this section as the Quest Help is most commonly viewed and it does concern providing help with quests (among other things).
For a few weeks me, Shatar, TheHawk, Blink, ToxicCosmos, Garnet have been working on creating Nehrim Wiki:
http://nehrim.wikia.com/wiki/Nehrim_Wiki
We don't know who created the Wikia, but I guess the one who started it has given up on the project.
As it seems an immense and time-consuming project, we would really appreciate ANY contributios , but of course the most urgent part is connected with Quests, as many people sometimes get stuck and look for help. I, myself, sometimes spent a LOT of time trying to figure out some solutions and I couldn't find the quest description anywhere.
Generally, I do hope that you approve of the projects as our aims are:
1. To make Nehrim more accessible to new players- by detailed descriptions of the quests with explanation of most difficult parts so that they wouldn't give up on playing Nehrim.
2. Enable players to take FULL pleasure of playing the game and epxlore it to the fullest- we plan to create a database of items (it will be easier to collect sets!)some easter eggs, etc.
3.To show our appreciation of Nehrim- it's a stunning and breathtaking world with very rich history and unique realms. When I first read about
Nehrim ( a very brief news on one site) I didn't have a clue what a 'conversion' was. I expected only something that generally changes Oblivion. But Nehrim turned out to be a TOTALLY new game with it's own unique quests and gameplay. I guess more people (who are yet to start Nehrim or consider downloading it) would get convinced that Nehrim is an extremely huge world with innumerable possibilities if they had the chance consult a Nehrim wiki.
You can help us in any way- by uploadig photos, giving some information (eg. when you come across Magic Symbol or other uique items), editing quests etc...
Wiki How-To guide:

Thank you !

Hello,
As Kassandra said, I also support this project.
We aim for a detailed Wiki, which is mainly for English speaking players. We've made a lot of progress so far (most of the credit goes to Kassandra) in editing and making new pages for items, quests and other stuff.
We hope that other players will use this wiki and make their contibutions if needed. Wikia has a very user-friendy editing interface by the way. So if you come by an uncomplete page, don't hesitate to give us the information!

Hi.
You both seem to have done a lot of work on there.
I am going to start the game again from the beginning when next update is out. Should be soon since German update came out a few days ago.
What I was thinking of doing, was to take screenshots though each stage at diff points. So if someone does walkthrough to it, I was going to put a small slideshow in to show it pictorially.
If you think its bad/ good idea let me know.

That would be nice.
The more information we receive, the better.

Sure, nice idea Hawk. Especially that I can see that I am not too skilled with 'screenshotting'
I see Shatar's screenshots and THEY are perfect !
From now on I will focus solely on writing. Feel free to remove my slideshows/screenshots and replace them with new ones when you take your own screenshots.
Btw if you're planning to start the game from the very beggining it would be great if you would focus on writing articles on Main Quests ( till The Candidate of the City Guard).
And of course thank you for helping us!

I mainly use Fraps to take screenshots. Then I remove my interface in Nehrim with the 'tm' command and use the free camera with 'tfc' to get the perfect angle.
And I'm planning to take more screenshots of rare weapons, full armour sets, easter eggs, hidden places and monsters in the future.
Hi.
Just found out. You propably allreadt knew!!!
That if you click on photo (bottom right doc icon) you can get to see screenshot full size. Pretty cool.

I'm in. I can't make any promises as to how much time I have to dedicate to it but I am fairly knowledgeable about the quests. What do I need to do?
Edit to add: Ok I signed up, have looked around the Wikia a bit and will attempt the Moon Sheep quest walkthrough.

We really appreciate any help we can get
There are still so many things to write on the Wikia so you can choose whatever you want. And take your time, it should be a free-time hobby, not a daily grind.
Ps. I will start uploading more Nehrim screenshots on my Xfire profile (http://www.xfire.com/profile/kassandra1/) , so if any of you prticularly likes the screenshot you can remove the interface and upload in the appropriate section.

Ok, I wrote up a thorough walkthrough for the Moon Sheep quest and saved it but I know little to nothing about how to format the page really. Is there a way to make the text hidden in a step by step format so that people who visit the walkthrough have the option to only read what they want to read while the rest is hidden? Does that question make sense? I think it would be good if the walkthroughs were consistent in format and it would be good if visitors had the option to only read what they want to/choose to. Is this possible? If so can someone edit my contribution or explain to me how it might be done so that I can? Is there a template for doing that or is it all coding?
I know what you mean- it would be nice if there was an option to hide some sections/information about what we write ( eg. spoiler alert) , but I don't know if it's possible. Maybe try Wikia Help : http://nehrim.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Contents
( I read only Beginner's Corner so far:P) Or maybe is it an option possible only for administrators? And I guess there is no contact with the guy who started the Wikia...

Hello,
I guess you want to ask if there is a 'spoiler' template to hide parts of the text. To be honest, I have no idea if that exists for Wikia.
However, if you know a bit about templates for Wikia, you might be able to change the background of the text to black or something. People can highlight parts of text with their mouse this way. I don't know if this method works though, but it's worth a try. (http://templates.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Fontcolor)
Cheers.
Edit: I just read that you need to put those templates from Wikia Templates on your wiki or something. My brain isn't advanced enough to understand all these difficult steps though...

Yes, bec82 is the guy who started the Wikia. But it is an automatic message sent from the administrator.
I just checked other Wikias and wow it would be great to have a more attractive 'layout' of the page. I didn't realize Wikia is so complicated.
(These are random pages :http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/Medal_of_Honor_Wiki , http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page ) .
But, I didn't find on any page ' hidden' texts. So maybe it's not possible after all.
Ps. We will definitely want to have consistent walkthroughs. But I guess first we have to focus on writing the quests, and we can 'polish' our articles and choose the best and only layout/structure for all the quests to make them really easy-to-read.

Hi.
Whoever is the Administrator can do some quick easy changes. Colour/icons etc.
Down the bottom right of page is a My Tools section, Admins can add tools there and choose from a set of layouts.
Quick read shows the founders (person who first requested it) of the Wiki are the administrators. Check My Tools and see if you can add Theme Designer, if you can add it, you are the administrator. I cannot.
If no one can, I guess would have to contact bec82.
Could not do it myself, being dragged off to a remote island soon (no laptop (luckily all being paid for)).
See edit.......
Yes to both questions, but and a big but. To the first it would have to be a web page template, written most likely in cs. I cannot/allowed to even see the page code, just the source of text. Then it would have to be someone good at cs/html codeing.
The second quote, similar to first answer, but maybe a little simpler, if someone could add a tooltip edit to the page. Then it would have to be someone who knows what they are doing and allowed to do it. Its been a long time since I did any HTML codeing/web page building.
If you could or know someone who could do a template, I'm sure it would be allowed to be imported.
Edit: If someone can get too see source code, just need code from contents template.

Lucky you Hawke, enjoy your stay on the island! It's damn freezing cold where I live.
Wow, I don't even know what you're writing about. And no, I don't have the option in 'My Tools'...
I posted a message on Bec82 Talk Page, but, frankly speaking, I don't expect any reply. He's been inactive for some time.
And it would be a pity if we weren't able to change much only because the admin is inactive and left no contact info.
And I do hope that there is someone on this forum who would help us with at least these complicated procedures that you're writing about
It doesn''t have to be now of course, but it would make the Wiki look better, when we finally finish at least the quest help parts.

I sent a message to Wikia regarding our inactive admin:
I hope I can contact our admin Bec82 this way and ask him if it's possible to grant the admin rights to one of us if he really abandoned the Wiki .
Cheers
Hello,
Our admin, who created Nehrim Wiki, has been inactive for almost 2 months. Is it possible to grant his/her rights to another user who is more frequently online?
And is it also possible to contact our admin aside from his/her talk page?
Thank you in advance,
Shatar0
Cheers
Hi.
Nice one Shatar.
Changing the colour scheme/fonts, having a new logo etc does not look to complicated. Have seen your written work etc, definately on the upper side of intelligent.
For the codeing etc - might not need to do too much if can get to source code.

Wow thanks Hawke, this time I feel flattered:P And good move Shatar.
BUT if there is a possibility of choosing a new admin, I think both of you should consider the option.
I am a kind of a bookish person, I really am not too skilled with using a computer. Everyone can write Wikia articles, but not everyone can deal with admin-related stuff.
Even when I started editing Wikia... I started writing in SOURCE mode. ( I thought pressing 'edit' and simply writing would be too easy
. And later... I messed a bit with URLs... )

Hi.
Admin are bookish types.
I'm more of a creative tinkerer, take things apart then forget to put them together again
It might be an idea to have more than one Admin, maybe a small group of Admins.
