Hi, I tried to run the installer I downloaded, but it never asked me to name a directory to install the files in. I ran it from another drive that had plenty of space on it where it should have unpacked into. However, it immediately started unpacking something into my C: drive (not where I wanted) where my windows vista installation is. It then gave me a low disk space error and crashed. Can someone tell me where on the C: drive NehrimInstall_1.0.7.5_EN unpacked all those files so that I can delete them? I only have a few megabytes free on my system drive now and windows keeps warning me about low disk space.
Thanks
Thanks
Hi.
Have this installed on 2 of my hard drives at the moment.
What I can remember it gives the option to change directories but its default is C:\program files\ and I think Sureai or Nehrim. It also copies over Oblivion files that it requires.
The default would be no good for Vista or Win 7 anyway, as it will not run from protected directories such as program files.
Safest to install to another drive or a new directory directly on C:

That's the weird thing, the installer didn't make a Nehrim or a SureAI folder or create anything obvious like that I can find, but it did somehow add over 1.5 gigs of something somewhere on my C drive, which was about all the space I had left there. I tried to run it and install it from my other hard drive with hundreds of gigs free, but it didn't give me a chance to pick a directory to install to. I'm just trying to figure out exactly what it gave me 1.5 gigabytes of, because I can't find the location on my system drive that NehrimInstall_1.0.7.5_EN dumped all that stuff in. I don't want to have to reformat my computer just because of this game.
Ooh, I figured it out. The installer put Neh9C20.tmp and Neh479C.tmp in my C:\Windows\Temp folder for some reason and must have filled up what was left of my C drive and crashed before it ever got the chance to ask me where they should be moved from that point on.
Hi.
Glad you sorted it , as I was halfway through a long post.
edit: Hope I am not being nosey but are you considering freeing some space on your main. PC only stays efficient with 10% or more h/d free.
If you cannot move to much stuff. A few tips that might help.
1- Move paging file to another hard drive.
2 - If not using hibernation mode, check and if have hibernation file consider removing (usually very large)
3- Install and run some software like CCleaner, surprising how much junk it will find and correct.

Yeah, when I originally installed vista on this computer I thought it would be smart to give the OS its own little 35 gig partition on a bigger drive, but that was a bad idea in retrospect and I keep running into this same kind of problem every now and then. I really need to just go ahead and reformat and reinstall at some point.
Let me guess, every stupid piece of software automatically installs itself in C: as well? Because Windows alone shouldn't take that much of your 35GB...
