Is it actually Called a T-Rex, because I'm thinking maybe I've already killed it. I killed a giant T-Rex looking thing called something like the Meat Crusher in the desert a while back. I'm running out of things to do that are actually completed, and this one seemed like it would be fun. Is there a quest that cues it up, or is it just out there somewhere?
Afaik there is no quest involved. I found another one in Treomar, right outside the ruins.
Also there is a Mammoth somewhere, but I can't remember where I saw it.

I found a mammoth near the base of The Dam, just north of the little village that's north of Darlin's Castle. Not a very woolly mammoth, to be sure, but it was definitely listed as a mammoth. Think I've found another elsewhere too.
Guess I'll go run around Treomar some.

Just knocked off the one around Treomar myself - the 'meat burster.'
Quite the pushover tbh, but then - I did drink many of my fanciest potions before getting his attention...

Yep, the Meat Burster or something like that. Funny name. I was wondering if that was a "translation funny" or if completely intended. I ran into two of them in the plains on the outskirts of Treomar. They were literally maybe a half mile to a mile (game distance gestimate) from one another. The first one scared the crap out of me when I came up on him unexpectedly but my player char is lvl 37 or something with 100+ sneak and I was in sneak mode so he didn't see me. I considered charging in screaming to intimidate him and scare him away but I figured that wouldn't work so, instead, because really I am a wuss who hates taking damage, I climbed up on the biggest set of rocks I could find and fireballed his ass to death. He couldn't get to me and I am not even sure he ever saw me for that matter. The funniest thing about it? I looked at that sucker and said, "Jeebus, look at the SIZE of that thing! I am definitely gonna get a grand soul out him!" But you know what? I soul trapped him and he only has a "common" lvl soul..lol.
There really are alot of deft touches and great easter eggs in this game. So much attention to detail and the only thing is somewhat disappointing is that most of the Boss chars and/or creatures have little to no back-story and aren't related to anything in particular quest-wise. Perhaps that's just a function of the game still being a work in progress. Main quests are always debatable but Nehrim kicks Oblivion's ass in terms of "off the beaten path" stuff. There's just a ton of it.
Most of you have probably already found it but the best easter egg in the game (IMO) doesn't seem finished but it is cool none-the-less. I am not even going to say what it is exactly except to say...

I think you can find only this three meat crushers in Nehrim. (2 in Treomar and 1 in the desert)
Took two arrows to kill the giant meat burster thing in the desert for me. That's what 95 sneak skill does for you.
It's strange that the giant enemies are often pushovers in Nehrim, and the small ones are just as tough or tougher. Like there was that one HUGE spider in the soul flayer temple, but it had the same amount of health as a super tiny spider.

Meat Burster? Who translated that? :p Although i cant find any proper souding noun, to rip or to tear apard would be the proper verbs. Burst makes me think of exploding, not something you do to your prey.
actually, i think there are two in the desert. i remember sneaking up on one and noticing a second one near by only after i launched my attack, thinking... ****! i'm going to die. luckly, the other one didn't notice me.
