the game ran fine for me amidst a few minor video glitches that would very rarely appear. i decided to see if i could patch the game and the launcher did so in finding and updating the game. however as the window would appear that the game would begin to play in an error appears indicating that Oblivion has stopped working and only gives me one option and that is to close the program. i thought maybe it was a resolution problem and simply changing that would fix the problem as i saw someone had a similar issue but that failed to work. the error only occured after i updated the game and i am running on windows 7. any news on this one?

My guess: UAC problems.

Into which directory did you install Nehrim?

while the game worked before the patch. it was installed under a flash drive i had plugged into my system. 32 gb patriot

i just attempted a reinstall and the game did the same thing to me without the patch. something has gone terribly wrong.......dios mio

Does deleting the Oblivion.ini help?

Is Oblivion on h/d and Nerim on flash drive ? Try installing both to h/d.

Is oblivion patched to 1.2.0416?
Any error codes?

after a number of reinstalls the game began to work correctly. yes both were installed in differnt places although it did work before in that configuration. however the game does work now patched and all.
