happening to me as well, after the patch, just like everyone else, either missing text or sometimes in german
And my (hopefully) last post about this... 
Been playing around with things, and learned a few new pieces of info about when this bug appears.....
Seems that if I exit the game and then load a save again, things work normally until one of the following things occurs (not an exhaustive list, probably, but only what I have seen in my game and repeated a couple times to make sure it is a consistent bug when these events occur)....
1) Open the diary (discussed before)
2) Use a textbook (to get one free learning point)
3) Use any rune to get a new spell in my arsenal (well, at least the three runes I acquired while testing these things...)
But (again), at least the couple times I've tried it, seems that exiting completely and then restarting nehrim resets things to 'normal' until one of the above occurs again...

This seems to be a bug in the "recompile all" function of the TES4CS. We are going to fix this soon.
A new patch is coming up. If the bugs still appear with the new patch, please do tell us.
Hmm. I'm still having this problem after applying New 1.0.8.1 patch. I have to close game once then reload to get the texts back.
I'm not experiencing this problem at all. I went straight from 1.0.7.5 to 1.0.8.1, though, so that might have something to do with it.
That's exactly what I did actually. Reinstall Nehrim then patched straight up to version 1.0.8.1. Still same problem occur when I open diary or using runes to learn new spells etc.
I am also having the same problems even after the new patch. Must still exit and reload to eliminate the issue.
Happening to me as well. Might be related to alt-tab in and out of game (?). Messages seem to reappear after a fresh load from save, then stop showing up again after some time.
Happening to me on level up also, but if I ignore it and keep playing they start working again after the next level up, rather odd.
