Hello,

My game will crash when I am doing random things in game. It will work fine for maybe a few minutes then crash to the desktop.

I only have the 3 data files checked, and I have tried reinstalling both oblivion and nehrim. Also my version is up to date. I have tried changing graphic settings to the lowest yet this still seems to happen, so I am guessing it is not a graphical problem. Is there a log of why it crashes anywhere?

Any help is appreciated thanks.

I have the same issue, but its not every few minutes. For example when i was exiting the tunnels and saw the chapter 1 load screen it crashed to the desktop.

The more and more I try to continue my save game this is happening within seconds. Any help from anybody would be appreciated!

Does the game crash in the same way when you play Oblivion? This will let you know whether you have an underlying issue on your system, or if it's specific to Nehrim. My experience has been that these random crashes are usually caused by a driver issue, typically a sound card driver issue.

I've found it very useful to create a separate account on my PC just for playing Nehrim. In this way I can switch between Oblivion and Nehrim without touching any of the configuration files. This is the procedure I used on my Win7 system:

• 1. Make sure you have Oblivion running without issues on your existing windows account.
  2. Create a new account for playing Nehrim. I created the account with Administrator privileges.
  3. Log out of original account (Account1) and log into Nehrim account (Account2).
  4. Copy Oblivion user files from \user\Account1\Documents\My Games\Oblivion to \user\Account2\Documents\My Games\Oblivion. Once you finish copying, you can delete the files under the "Saves" subdirectory since you won't be needing them.
  5. While still logged on Account 2, install Nehrim following the documented procedure.
  6. Run the Nehrim launcher to configure the Nehrim data files. It should not be necessary to create a new Oblivion.ini file since the launcher will read the existing one you just copied into the ...\My Games\Oblivion directory.
  7. Now you should be able to start playing Nehrim. If you want to play Oblivion just log out off Account2, log into Account1 and start playing Oblivion. No configuration changes needed whatsoever.

Same thing is happening with me, Oblivion runs fine and always has.

If Oblivion always runs fine, then you may have a corrupted Nehrim install. Are you using any Oblivion mods that are not compatible with Nehrim? Also, updating directx has helped some people.

Set the "save every 10 minutes" option off from your diary.
