Hey JasonXtik! Happy new year!

The Nehrim release will be between 1. and 2.quarter 2010. But... this is the release time of the German version. We have no idea when the English version comes out. Our internal percent value is 91%. But maybe we are already at 95%.

This is great news! I'v been waiting for this so long and now it's almost ready. How long will the english translation take? Can't wait...

And if there is anything I can help with, just tell me! I'll gladly try to help.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
I wanted to ask if dual wield combat will be posible on this game?
Re: Release

Yes I was thinking the same. Will it support combat mods like deadly reflexes?
Re: Release

I don't think it will support mods because as the creators said it will only have oblivion engine but it will be different game.
But seriously add dual wield combat possibility it would be awesome

If I knew it better how exactly the Deadly Reflex mod works, I could say more about its compatibility with Nehrim, but I don't think there will be much trouble (probably some work will be needed, but nothing comparable to writing the mod anew).
As a general rule, I believe that many mods changing stuff will still work with Nehrim after some work in the CS. Exceptions are mods that change the leveling/skilling system (the one in Nehrim is way too different from the one in Oblivion). For instance, if the dual-wielding mods you mention just consist of parry swords declared as shields, then they will surely work - but I already see a number of such parry weapons in the Nehrim.esm ;)

So it is possible to mod nehrim like vanilla oblivion? like build own houses etc.
Re: Release

Yes, definitely. The only difference is, that you have an enormous pool of new assets/objects to use in Nehrim for creating new cool stuff, like houses, quests, etc... so Nehrim is an perfect environment for modding.

Great. I wish it was released allready...
Re: Release

and what about animation mods?
Re: Release

We have some new animations. But if you want import some more, this shouldn't be a problem, because we did not change any of the file names.

So this thing is totally moddable? Release it allready! :D
And who is doing the translation? Has anything new been posted to the german sections?

Quartal. Aber wer weiß.

Please someone translate!

A more or less official answer: Depending on when you have your summer holidays. 1.-2 quarter 2010. So, yes, if your summer holidays aren't one of the earliest.
Less official: There is a high probability that it will be release in the first quarter. But who knows.

(This is a answer for a user at the german parts of the forum - for you the only interesting thing is that it will probably launch in the first quarter 2010)

Unfortunately, that concerns the German version of the mod. But knowing the modder scene, I would be surprised if there wouldn't be an unvoiced English translation soon after. As for a voiced translation, that could take a while...

I don't really care about a voiced translation, just as long as there are english subtitiles for everything they say, I can still play...

Well I can play when I buy a Oblivion again, my disc decieded to crack one day =[
