Enderal: Forgotton Stories was working fine yesterday. Today, I went to play and as soon as I did, it said Skyrim stopped working. Thinking that was odd, I restarted Enderal and it opened Skyrim. I’ve reinstalled them both and retried to no luck. Do you guys have any ideas as to what might be happening?

What exactly is happening?
You are currently starting Skyrim, result?
after Skyrim is really terminated, do you start Enderal, Result?

Check the taskbar to see if it still works in the background.
Have you installed any mods or changed the settings\installations?

The Enderal launcher starts, I push start game and Skyim's loading screen and music plays, but with Enderal's font. All of my loads are from Skyrim.
If I just start Skyrim, the game works normally. If I start Enderal without Skyrim installed, the same thing happens and it still tries to load Skyrim. I have no mods installed for Enderal and I do not believe I changed any settings.

one more thing we could check, this is the file Config.sur, which you can find here:
...Enderal\EnderalLauncher\system\conf.sur

Please put it in an archive so it can be uploaded here, e.g. ZIP

it's empty.
that's somewhat odd, we're not sure how that happened

could you upload the Enderal.ini from ...\Documents\My Games\Enderal please?

are you using the Steam cloud with Enderal?
if so, deactivate it, delete the aforementioned ini, and try to start Enderal with the launcher.

(we're guessing that the steam cloud overwrites the ini,
so it wouldn't matter how often you delete your files )

Your Enderal.ini is damaged.
Try the following: delete in ...\Documents\My Games\Enderal the Enderal.ini and the EnderalPrefs.ini.
Restart Enderal via the Enderal Launcher. The files are automatically rebuilt.

Did you deactivate the Steam cloud?


edit: alternatively, try these three files and replace yours.

another one, the same problem (or at least a very similar one) was solved in another thread
