Sorry in advance. I'm not sure if there is a proper layout to typing out my issue, but I didn't see one on the page.

My issue is that when I launch enderal, whether from the launcher or from the skse file, It will open up the black box for skyrim, which will hang for a while and then the process will stop. The game was working for the past few days, and this just happened today. I have no skyrim mods or installed DLC. I have tried a fresh install of both Skyrim and of Enderal, but the problem persists.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can afford me.

hi, welcome to the forum

there are some thing you can try:

- disable ENBoost and/or OneTweak (or enable them)
- make sure that no additional mods are installed or activated.
-Make sure your anti-virus-program, windows defender or firewall are not blocking the Enderal Launcher.exe, tes5.exe and skse_loader.exe. Furthermore make sure they all run with admin permissions.
- check the integrity of game files
- try restarting Steam and/or your PC.
- change settings in the Enderal Launcher, make sure the CPU and RAM usage are maxed out in the optimization tab.
- try redownloading the game

Two more options:

- manually remove the write protection from the folder ...documents \ my games \ enderal and check the integrity on Steam again

- delete the two files enderal.ini and enderalPrefs.ini in the above folder. Restart the game. The files are automatically rebuilt.
