I don't think its connected with the newest version of Nehrim, as I remember I added all changes in Notes part and there was nothing for the path of the gifted. As I recall, I went north just when leaving the prison chamber and I 'clicked' on the door (spacebar) , that was what triggered the message.
Well, nevermind, I changed that part on Wiki a bit :)
Happy Easter everyone :P
Ok since we have Chintzmas to help us with wikia CSS, we can give him some ideas how to improve wikia main page at least :)

I really like the way this page is organized:http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Age_Wiki
1. Would be great to have NEWS section, now it looks a bit clumsy.
2. Featured images section looks also nice.
3. Maybe quotations? Some are really nice in Nehrim, like the shrines in the Suthrealm during this Pilgrimage quest.
4. Maybe forums section redirecting to SUreAI English forum ?
These are just suggestions, I have o idea how to organize it myself :)

And...I remember Hawk asking about it, something like Visitors Counter?
And Garnet, what do you think?
Hi Kassandra.

I will be glad to help with your css woes.

I have quite a bit to learn about how Wikia works though. You mentioned that it's possible to make changes locally before applying them globally - how do I do that? It sounds quite useful.

Also, did you know it's possible to have more than 4x7 buttons in the navigation menu? If you go to http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page you can see what I mean - they have five buttons and a whole bunch of dropdowns. They did this by adding a bunch of asterisks to the code for the navigation (three in front of the buttons and four in front of the dropdown items, instead of one and two). I don't know why it works but anyway, it might be useful.
Hi everybody,
It's nice to have finally someone who is willing to fix some css bugs on Wiki.

Really don't know where you can make test page, can be a template page, but maybe Kassandra knows more about it.
There is a an old project by Toxic:
http://varriaga.com/wiki/nehrim/frontpage.jpg
and maybe this is the general look that Kassandra talk about, anyway we need more buttons and Chintzmas said that is possible to have more than here. (I can take care of all the icons)
So, there is a list of things for which we hope can be solved:
1. Fix the empty space
http://i945.photobucket.com/albums/ad29 ... 1304867320
2.Search button on every page
3. Heading 3,4,5 in blue color like heading 2, without decoration

What do you think about this video in Main Page?

Don't worry Chintzmas, getting used to wikia will take some time. It took months for me and Garnet to get used to some basics. I still can't manage to create tables;]
I think you will find these pages useful:
http://nehrim.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Expert_zone
http://nehrim.wikia.com/wiki/Help:User_style

I guess I remember how I entered CSS locally.
In URL write: http://nehrim.wikia.com/wiki/User:Chintzmas/wikia.css
And there should be a link in which you change CSS only for you. I hope it does work this way, never tried to change anything in CSS.

But I took a look how Toxic (the girl that did the CSS work for us previously) did it, you can take a look at her CSS whole log here:
http://nehrim.wikia.com/index.php?title ... oxicCosmos <--here she was editing CSS locally. You can't see much here as I guess the changed were only visible for her.
http://nehrim.wikia.com/index.php?title ... oxicCosmos <---here the changes were made to Media Wiki, so I guess globally. A lot of mystery for me here :)

Sure, do change Wikia the way you think it will be more inviting or user friendly :)

@Garnet
I'm not sure about videos, I've read somewhere that videos tend to make Wikia laggy. We already have lots of photos. But it's worth giving a try, I guess.
I took care of the empty space earlier - it was driving me nuts..
I did want to apologize for leaving - I had some problems I'd rather not talk about, but I'm glad someone else was able to step in. You guys have done an amazing job with the wikia. :]

@Chintzmas - if you want/need any of the images from the front page examples or have any questions, feel free to let me know (c_rok06@yahoo.com) I can give you the Photoshop files I used as well if you'd like.

Take care you guys.

Tox
Hi Toxic!
I already thanked you on Wiki page :) No need to apologize, it's just free time activity to edit wiki, not a lifelong commitment ! I also mentioned a small problem on your Talk Page, let's see if others have this 'bug ' also. I opened wikia in two windows and in one I had this fixed page with Search everywhere , and in the other- old wikia look ( with the blank upper space). Strange. Maybe Wikia is still applying new .css or whatever.

How about you Garnet, do you have everything fixed?

And Chintzmans mentioned he will be away fro a days, but willing to go back and take care of other things :)
Hm. Maybe try clearing your internet cache. Your browser might just be loading old information from time to time - they're buggy that way. ^^
Hi Toxic. I hadn't had time to really get into the problem (I've been out of town) but I did play around with it briefly the other day and was stumped... I'm curious, could you tell me how you fixed it?

My experience with the 'bug' Kassandra mentioned: When I log out, I see the space at the top, when I log back in it goes away again. This is not the first time I've experienced this on a Wikia wiki before. It's one of the things I don't understand about Wikia.
@chintzmas-

I had to change the size of the header. For some reason the main content, when moved up, gets hidden under the header - which is why the search bar went missing. I just made the header shorter. If you need to play with it more, the css div is called #WikiHeader.

I've noticed that logged-in thing too. :/ I'm not sure why it does that, but maybe some of the default template (common.css) is overriding the changes? :/ That's really weird... maybe someone from wikia help could figure out why?

What browser do you use? I don't know about other browsers, but in Chrome I know you can right-click an element on a page and select "Inspect Element" to find its css properties that you can use to edit the elements on the css page. (in case you don't already have something like that.) :]
