OK. This area has caused a great deal of confusion. Firstly, I had the problem many people had thinking that I couldn't go outside at all because I needed my stuff first, but then through reading topics on the forum, I discovered you have to go outside to get the key to the door to get to my stuff ...

I can't seem to get past the opening dungeon. It seems that I've purposely been frozen in one spot, but how do I get out of it?

1. I can't download the patch because it says the folder does not contain "oblivion.exe". Does that mean the original game was installed into the wrong folder?
2. I can't start a new game. Do you think it's somehow related to the first problem?
