So, for some reason, whenever I change settings, they won't stick. When I quite and come back to the game, they are set back to default. Additionally, if I change settings in the launcher and hit accept, they do not actually change.
Specific example: I set textures to "High", hit accept. Then go back to settings, it will be back to "medium"
Or in game, if I set view distance to 80, when I quit and come back, it will be back down to default (not sure where that is off the top of my head). Same for all settings.
When I search for "*.ini" in my nehirm install folder, only only show "Configres.ini" and "Nehrim_default.ini"
Am I missing the actual ini file somehow, so therefor it just keeps loading the default?
Any thoughts?

EDIT: Ok, got it. my oblivion.ini file was set to read only for some reason (in my documents/my games folder). No idea why. Took me a while to track down what ini file was trying to be updated. I didn't realize it would use oblivion.ini.

Have a feeling if you use a Bat file for changing say fov in game you would need to change ini to read only. I think!!
Another trick is to open the console window (while in-game) and type "saveini". (without quotation marks)
