Bringing a letter to master - by raspudding

Before I escaped the mining cave, the mage asked me bringing a letter to master who live in abbey. When I finally met this master and tried to talk with him, the subtitle showed "I have nothing to say".
Pretty annoying, cause I've tried several times.

How can I fix it?

hi there (sorry for the late reply D: )

what does your questlog say?
did it update to
"I arrived safely in the Abbey." ?
do you have any mods installed/tried any cheats before your arrival there?
(fast travel for example could cause issues)

you probably tried earlier saves -
from what point on? can you load a save that allows you to walk back into the area of the abbey?

last resort would be console commands:
setstage MQ01Porim 30 ---> ensures you got into the abbey (queststagewise)
setstage MQ00 65 ---> the stage after your talk with the priest; your're then save to head to the sanctum

It's fine. I cannot play any game until next weekend. Your reply is timely.

My quest log did update to "I arrived safely in abbey", and no mod no DLC no cheat. ( if console commands are cheats then yes i used "tfc") ( fast travel? Turn all map markers? No, I didn't do that.)
My last save was at the beginning of the game...I'll try to load it when I go home. I remember I did arrived abbey by feet.

well tfc really shouldn't be a problem here

sounds like a typical "reloading solves it" bug

oh hell
for your own sake, try to get used to saving a lot more, and on different saves, not just one.
not just because of bugs, Nehrim will crash.

in this case..
yeah. reloading, trying again. not much else to do, sadly - except for console commands (which could make things worse)
not because of bad programming, don't get me wrong - mostly Oblivion engine really

and as said - save often, save early -
only every half an hour just leads to frustration
