did you delete the skyrim.ini as stuemper suggested?
Skyrim should have created a new one on launch.

it's still the one Enderal uses, much longer and there are other Masterfiles listed.

if deleting it doesn't work, open it and look for this paragraph
[+] +
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa
sResourceArchiveList2=EEN - MeshesLOD.bsa, EEN - Meshes.bsa, EEN - Music.bsa, EEN - Scripts.bsa, EEN - SoundFX.bsa, EEN - SoundVoice.bsa, EEN - SoundExtra.bsa, EEN - TexturesLOD.bsa, EEN - Textures1.bsa, EEN - Textures2.bsa, EEN - Textures3.bsa
type a ; right in front of sResourceArchiveList2, save the document and try starting Skyrim again.
Any clues to what may be happening?
oh i didnt see that the comment went to the next page
i just now saw it. gonna try it but i did delete those files as steumper suggested.

edit: the initial delete of the file didnt work but after putting the semi-colin where it was suggested it worked! Thanks for all the help!

Sincerely,
Matthew
good to know it worked :)
(you should now be able to delete that line - the semi-colon made it "invisible" for the ini anyway :) )

but strange that deleting the files didn't work :/
Thanks again for all your help!
And indeed it is very strange.
