I loved the main story in Enderal and I enjoyed reading all the books and lore in the game. The personal conversations you had with your companions gave the game and quest that extra bit of "flavour?". But when in reached the end of the game (with Calia in Starcity) i felt that there was something missing. Almost all of the conversations you have with Calia are about the demon/being inside of her. But at the end of the game it was just missing.
The story of her controlling her demon was just over.
I found it a bit dissapointing that she would just meditate it under control or whatever ....

I guess thats probably my only complaints with the story :p . Although it was still an amazing experience with some though decisions (i was probably debating with myself for about half an hour if i would sacrifice myself or not :p)

Hey there,

Could you elaborate a little? :) You mean that you would have liked her to, even after the Starship mission, talk a little more about how her new approach is working out?

yeah I felt that it was a bit ignored in the end. Especialy with the siege of Ark with the "thousands" of deaths and with the city of a Thousand floods where there were all these corpses. But she wasnt efected by it at all. Whilst just seeying the dead servants at the castle of her father already made her "turn".
And the veiled woman said she was so important but she didnt really do anything that effected the end (apart from saving you from the goliath but that had nothing to do with her powers) .
I just felt that Calia controlling her demon could have done with a more satisfying ending then just "I wil try to control it '
But thats just my opinion ,you guys still did an amazing job with the game and story. :p

Well but her personal story at that point IS over. She comes to terms with herself and manages to take control of her ShadowHulk by accepting that it's part of her and that she will never get rid of it, but may be a good person nevertheless. I mean, yeah, it could probably be more elaborate then "I need some time alone" (night passes) "Well I won my inner struggle, let's have sex now", however as it is just a side plot of game that by itself is certainly not short... I don't know, do you have any RPG that done it better?

Also, there's that small problem with capabilities of TES engine in terms of facial expressions being on the level of Clint Eastwood - it's quite hard to communicate personal story without moving a damn muscle. (Disclaimer: I love Clint Eastwood)

I'm guessing you're right, she could have reacted to the corpses a little more intensely, but I feared anything too intense would have distracted from the rest of the story (the focus really is on Tealor in that scene). I also didn't mean it to come across as "I won my inner struggle". Calia is heavily inspired from a person I know, and her demon is essentially an allegory for something horrible inside you which you cannot get rid of, because it simply is part of you. (Extreme violent fantasies, for example, or any sexual deviance which can never be acted out). What she realizes eventually is that she cannot kill it (the only way to do so would be killing herself), but rather has to come to terms with it and stop hating herself for it - while she still has to go on controlling her urges. :)
