There are some spells that I believe could benefit from more information on how they work. For example:
- I would like to know the range of different spells. It doesn't seem to be the same for all of them, so this could help players to decide which tactic to use before getting into combat.
- How do Conjured items work? I wanted to see the damage done by a sword I conjured in my hand, but I could not find where to see this information. I looked in my inventory (in case the weapon was listed) and looked in my magic screen, to see current active effects (such as beneficial and negative effects currently affecting my character).
- I would also like to understand if Conjured items (or creatures) are improved by other skills (is a weapon improved by your weapon skills? by other enchantments or talents improving enchantments?).
- A notice saying whether a spell is improved by dual-casting it. I've been trying out the spells myself, and I imagine this is what everyone does, but it would save some time for the player if spells included a note specifying "This spells is/isn't improved by dual-casting".
I mostly ask those questions for games played on the harder difficulties. A prepared adventurer is a safe adventurer. As a player, it can be annoying to die because I am confused as to how a spell work. Its better to die because I made the mistake, not because the game was unclear on its mechanics.
