Playing the German language Enderal, I had quite a problem leaving the meditation state. Trying all the keys, I discovered "Z" did what "Y" was supposed to do. This morning with my brain refreshed, I recalled that the German keyboard is different from the English keyboard; especially the Y and Z locations are reversed. There are several other differences, especially in the location of symbols. So if you are trying to play the German version with an English (US/UK) keyboard and encounter difficulties, I suggest you search the internet for an example of a German keyboard to help identify the problem.

[I recall in my foggy memory this issue had occurred years ago with some other RPG that was originally in German (Two Worlds or Gothic, I think), where a problem existed because the _- key and the ?/ key locations were reversed.]

I wonder if this might be a problem when the English version is released. Perhaps there will be a warning in a "read me" file.
BTW the console is on the ^ button top left side on the German keyboard, where is it on yours? You don't have ü, ö, ä in English, so the right side of the keyboard is also different.
The top left key on my keyboard is the tilde "~`" . I recall this was an issue from an earlier game (maybe Two Worlds?) where this difference caused some confusion about how to open the console for debug and other commands.

My keyboard doesn't have "^" anywhere. And it doesn't have all the vowels with umlauts, nor the ß. Life would be much simpler if Germany would just make English its official language.
I don't think this will be a problem. Meditation is on the same key as the "shout" key in skyrim (since it is still based on the skyrim-engine ;) ), so this should actually be no problem at all. If you shouted there with z, then you can do it here too. Also like in skyrim you can actually change the key-settings in the ingame menu. Personally i didn't had any problems with skyrim too; i have a german keyboard, but i only play games in english. Except Enderal :D

I'm ok with this if you
- introduce right-hand driving immediately, stop Brexit and introduce the, uh, mighty Euro (if you are from the UK)
- admit that Creationism is not as convincing as evolutionary theory plus abandon speed limits on interstates plus legally enforce certain companies to use better buns for burgers (if you are from the USA).

If you are from elsewhere I'll send you the proposals ...

Or just stop driving completely and go everywhere on bicycles, as in the Netherlands!

The mighty euro -- just one word for you -- Greece! :P

evolutionary theory? no reason to reply to you as you have already been struck dead by a lightning bolt from the heavens and won't be reading this  .
Hi @all,

I have found a good description of the german keybord layout on Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QWERTZ

Y and Z are switched. But some other keys are set to different letters.
The "console"-key is something special. As far as I know it is always placed on the left side of the "1" below "ESC", but has different names in different languages, in German it is "^", in English it is "~", and others in other languages.

I hope this wikipedia-link is helpful to understand the different keyboard-layouts. :)
