Hey, Hi! Everybody.
Have close to 100 hrs on Nehrim and have had a few issues that were self wrought and managed to work through them to keep playing.

As for instance, when at my safe storage chest or when with a merchant,
I learned to stop about half way through my transfers and save, then begin the dialogue anew. It worked for awhile. Otherwise I get a CTD.

But this latest one has me buffaloed. When at the shop at Castle Dorlan, during a sell, my journal suddenly flipped over to another page and went black. Then I got the CTD.
Now, I can't start the game. It begins the DOS window, then displays a larger black rectangle, then goes to Microsoft report popup. I can put the log on here if necessary.
I've tried settings .ini in launcher from Obliv to Neh and back again with no luck. Everything is set in data checks. I'm not running any mods (the map ones began some problems for me and I had to do a reinstall), so that can't be it.
Any suggestions?
Reinstall the whole game, Oblivion and Nehrim and try again. This could be an solution.

Thats the reason why my pal hates me ^^
Unfortunately thats not correct english XD

"an" is used when the letter "a, e, i, o, u, e" can be heard when the actual word in use provides the voice of the letter.
It's much more difficult if the letter is used but its silent.

@DickHair
My suggestion would be not to use the default Oblivion INI.
The Nehrim Laucher produces a very own INI which setup is special for Nehrim.
I get error messages from Wrye Bash everytime I load it because of the Nerhim INI.
But that's normal since Nehrim uses a special INI as I said...

I've posted my own Nehrim INI here look over it...
But be careful! It's setup for around 4GB RAM!

Gracias for the swift replies.
I was rather hoping to avoid a re-install, mainly because I have around 40 mods in Oblivion stretching back 2-3 years
and wouldn't know where to place them to protect them from removal or how to replace them if something hinky happens.
A re-in on Nehrim is not so obtuse. But, here's a weird thing.

I restarted my rig and after closing down all background apps, started it and the game ran fine. Played for around 10 minutes, then went to check the journal fluke I was getting. Sure enough after a half dozen or so transfers into my safe chest---CTD!

So, I just left it for 3-4 hours until a few mins ago and tried to start it again. Same WinXP popup. It shows a 0xc0000005 code which is
an application error code.
There was some discussion over at the M$ site about an update from back in Sept causing this, but this is new; nothing has ever happened
prior to this indicative of that update being a prob for me. There are no suspicions of infections, either.

Now not sure which way to turn. I am running a 3gb switch on a 32 bit XP Pro sp3 install and run games like FarCry2, BL and S.T.A.L.K.E.R
series on max with my underpowered system. No glitches on any of these.

I guess I can keep on restarting my machine and settling for 10 minutes of playtime until it closes, but what a PITA.

LOL
Gorin, Wrye Bash doesn't even recognize Nehrim for me when I open it as the settings show Obliv ini as default.
How do I set the .ini to make it work?

Ah crap ^^
You got me.

Well you should use the NehrimLauncher.exe to configure your INI for Nehrim.
Make a backup copy of your Oblivion INI and then delete it.

After that start the NehrimLauncher and let it generate the INI.

I installed an extra copy of Wrye Bash for Nehrim.
You just have to check "extra location" when installing wyre bash and inserting the path of the Nehrim folder ;)
OK, well, I did all that and couldn't start from launcher.
So, I restarted syst again, put your INI in place and still couldn't start from launcher.
Then I clicked on short cut on desktop and viola!, it started. I was in my Erothin house
and tried the chest; good so far, no CTD! yeah
Then I went out the door and boom, right back to the black screen, popup, the whole shutdown pattern.
She It.

I liked what I was able to see in your INI, though, really vibrant depth of color and a richess to the scene in the house.
But, I may not be capable of running it on my rig.

So, I guess it's try a re-in on both as Hoxy suggested. What should I save besides level data and render? I'm not sure what the uninstaller will remove from the directory.
Any hints?

Edit: I did manage to get WB installed in Nehrim btw.
Well I made some progress after copying my save folder to my Nehrim directory and designating it in settings.
Still having crash on exit occasionally, but much more stable now.
Hope this is the last of my woes, jaja...

Glad you're satisfied :)

That even happens to me. This is quite a common problem since even normal Oblivion do this when some mods are installed.
Actually it should only happen when exiting from ingame.
So it should be possible to configure the game settings (controls, audio, video) from main menu.
Just when I thought it was safe from the wierdness, I'm back to NO launch today after playing 6 hours yest with zero problems. And after 3-4 hrs today, got a CTD and now nada.
I found I cannot start from the OSBE loader, from the "Start Nehrin" button in the launcher or from the Oblivion.exe (which is what my shortcut points to).
Tried installing and running NIE for the improved interface and it wouldn't show up even with the .esm in the data folder as directed.
Thinking this is my issue, but after un-ticking it in both Wrye and launcher data files, it makes no diff.
Guess I'll delete it and try, then restart rig and see.
Wish I knew why I get the application error code on CTD and the unhandled exception fault with this.[*] This is all totally new after all the mods and maps I've played in other games.
It's gotta be an simple solution, heh?

Well I run OBSE without any problems since it is a requirement of Nehrim Expanded.

I also made a shortcut of the OBSE loader to my desktop and only start Nehrim through that.
