As you can see I screwed stuff up a by messing around.
If anyone can tell me the console command to remove or reset this quest that'd be great! Or maybe even just the quest ID then I can use setstage to bring it back to 0 (where it tells you to go talk to the king).
I don't have a save from before I acquired this quest accidentally, unfortunately - that was many hours of gameplay ago.
Anyway what happens when I complete MQ13, the one where you find the hidden soldiers and fight with them back into their castle, is that quest just disappears as it should and MQ14 starts up (this one) telling me to go talk to the king, but he just says "go and do what we have discussed". Obviously I can't do what I'm supposed to because I'm already a few stages in without the right quest items. If this can't be fixed I guess I'll have to ask someone for their save game. If anyone wants to hand me it just incase that'd be great, thanks. If in that save game you've complete all the quests outside of the main one that's even better. I can just use the console to mod my stats back to how they were I suppose. Anyway thanks for reading.
How did you get this messed up? Console cheating?
Anyway there is no easy fix. What you CAN do is the following: Create a "plugin" where you DELETE every single stage of MQ14 (not the MQ14 quest as a whole; only every stage of it!). Load your savegame with this plugin. SAVE. You now have a MQ14-cleaned save. Delete the plugin. Load your save again and play MQ14.
Now this is not guaranteed to work either. I'd love to test but I have no time now. I hope it's of help...

The how is I used a potion of acrobatics I got from a quest near Erothin so that I could jump and climb my way up into the castle avoiding the guards. This was after like 5 hours of looting houses, breaking into the bank and stuff in Erothin so there was no way I was gonna go do that all over again back then. (I guess I didn't notice the auto save). Still, I didn't think it'd hurt me too bad. The quest triggered once I got into the castle and that how it's looked for days.
Thanks for replying by the way but I don't exactly understand your instructions. Perhaps you could point me to a guide or video that'll show me what you mean?

Decided to bump because I wanted to finish the game.
But I supposed I might not be able to fix this so I wanted to ask anyone that reads this to donate a save game to me that's just before the part where to talk to the king of Cahbaet. Thanks!

A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then.
Are you a questioner, and do you still want a save data? Or has the game already finished?
I have a save data just before meeting Taranor... I'll offer it, if you want.

uhh.. I noticed your save says you've saved over 16000 times. Thanks for your save Fujisan.
Anyway! My next task out of game is trying to find a way to transfer all the items in my safe box from my old saves into this one then I'll be very happy. So does anyone know how I can do that? Someone must know where in the save safe box items are kept..
I can change the stats through console commands to get essentially my old character back. Then I need to go find my laggy demon/ghost horse
.

However, using a console causes a risk of destroying the quest script. Only items and spells which are unrelated to quest will be comparatively safe... well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Anyway, you can return to the save at any time.
