Theoretically, one is supposed to be able to switch between Nehrim: At Fate's Edge and The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion at will merely by swapping out the *esp files.
After switching back, while Oblivion does appear to run without any issues, evidently Nehrim has altered the fonts.

Shock and horror. And that is NOTHING compared to my inventory list, with its tiny icons and swollen fonts.
I am using a DarkDarnifiedUI mod which makes fonts smaller and such - but since the font was so small as to be almost unreadable in Nehrim, I didn't expect ANYTHING like THIS...! How do I fix it? I can scarcely read any of the journal text updates and navigating boxes is a nightmare!

It might be messing with the oblivion.ini file, which is used both for Nehrim and Oblivion. it contains a section called "fonts". You should check if there were any alterations.
Id probably recommend one .ini file for Nehrim, and one .ini for Oblivion, if you use a MOD to change the font, or maybe make the .ini file read-only, so it cannot be changed.
But there might be another cause for this as well, thats the only clue i got.

So I copied the *.ini to save for use in Nehrim, and reinstalled the UI mod.
Splendid.
Now my game won't work at all.
It's a good thing that I backed up most of the mods on an external hard-drive, because it would KILL me to redownload a lot of them now that I have to COMPLETELY REINSTALL EVERYTHING. I'll try and save what I can, but - DAMN.
...except it turns out it ISN'Ton my hard drive anymore. And I left the disc halfway up the country with a relative so I can't reinstall it. Hurrah. I am so happy. Not.
To try and stop this kind of thing happening again, it would be REEEEEEALLY GOOD if users were warned about this change, and if it made a copy of the *.ini before changing it.

Hi.
I use DarkDarnifiedUI as well for Oblivion. Believe problem is more to do with OMOD. I have to deactivate then reactivate to use on Oblivion.Luckily I use mTES4 which makes swtching easy.
