Oblivion Mods?

I am downloading Nehrim right now, but I want to know while I'm waiting : Can i use the mods for Oblivion with Nehrim? Such as the body replacers, and weapon and armor mods? And are you able to go between Nehrim and Tamriel in-game?

Hi.

Mods for Oblivion need converting to Nehrim. Although mods like body replacers where you do not need to use the esps or esms will work.
You will find some stuff allready at TesNexus if you type in the seach bar there Nehrim. I believe someone converted hgec body and clothes and its uploaded at TesNexus. Also when you use Nehrim launcher, there is a mod tab at top, so you can check out other stuff.

No travelling between Nehrim and Tamriel. This although classed as a mod is a complete game in itself, 30 to 40 hours mq and loads of side quests.
Also a new wiki has been started (under construction) but you might find some answers ther if not on Nehrim forum.

It depends on the Mod if its easy to convert it to Nehrim, or impossible. Some only need to change like 2 lines of code, and done. Others you would have to remake completly froma scratch to make them work in Nehrim.
There are lots of Mods for Nehrim already, including Balancing Mods, new Quests, whole new Towns, custom Houses, Bodyreplacers, Armours, Weapons, etc.
Scroll through the Mods section in this Forum, and if you dare check out the geman part too. Its a bit bigger, cause german Nehrim is running longer already.

Ok, thank you for your answer. Concerning races, there is one race in a mod I have for Oblivion. What would I have to do to play as that race in Nehrim, and how can I go about doing this?

All you have to do is convert the mod that it add the race to Nehrim instead of adding it to Oblivion. Im using a mod like this myself, tho i didnt convert it myself, its not to big of a deal.
But you should rework the starting stats for the race, as the stats in Nehrim and Oblivion differ by a whole 50 Points.

Hi.

Just a thought. Depending on which race mod you are looking at, I know that some mods start the race in different locations etc which would be a bit more difficult to convert.

There is a compilation "Xenius" race compilation already converted (I did change stats though to make more Nehrim friendly), cute elves and chocolate elves were easy to convert.
