Oh, maybe you dropped the crystal too early. The supposed way is roughly the following one:
Arantheal says "I need the crystals we've found to pass through."
Arantheal puts his own crystal in.
Arantheal says that he needs YOUR crystal too.
You drop your crystal.

I also have a similar problem. When I reach this area, Arantheal says that he needs to place the crystals on the fixtures. He then moves towards the fixture furthest from me and stands there doing nothing. He never places his own crystal there.
I tried throwing my crystal down to him, but nothing happens.

Well bizarrely enough, I just loaded my old save game from this point and it now works perfectly. I tried it twice and both times it worked. I'll still upload my save file because this is the same save file from which the bug before was generated.
Anyway, since I couldn't get past here before, I used the fixed that you provided to skip this section, so we never got the sword. In the next parts Arantheal was still fighting with his old sword, he never pulled out the Soul Flayer, could this possibly be a problem later in the game?

Not that you would agree with me, but the crystal was in a rather random place. It seemed like a last minute decision on where it was placed. Maybe you could make it a puzzle to find.
Other than that, I haven't had any major issues.
I have found some weird things though:
1: A missing ceiling texture in the dungeon under Erothin. It's near the trainers, I think. It's a spot between two wells in the ceiling.
2: There is a rock (about character height and width) near one of the Creator's shrines in Southrealm's city (I forgot the name) (2nd shrine maybe?) that you could walk through it. Kim kept disappearing on me and then I saw her head sticking out of it.
3: Prior to chasing Baranteon (spelling) to the bell tower, I came into the courtyard and saw him standing at the main gate entrance to the castle area. I do not remember the exact method of how I got into the courtyard, but I know it was odd seeing him there and yet Arantheal had me go to the throne room instead.
4: I was arrested during the first siege (using taranor's crystal) while in the kitchen area of Erothin for some minor crime. There were no guards anywhere, but this one guy did find me, lol. (Not really a bug.)
5: Massive lag in the dark forest area with the ghost rider.
6: Following that bandit guy trainer (who stole the guard's letter) during the assault into Erothin through the sewers, he got stuck behind the door leading out of the backyard. I had to disable the door and make it reappear for him to get out.
7: I enchanted an ax with a fire attack and it has a value of 0.
8: After I redeemed 2 paladins' souls, it stopped displaying the message. I killed at least 4 more without the message showing up again.
9: A large weed in the southrealm desert still has a German name.
10: Several voice recordings had a studio effect; I heard echoes.
11: Lots of the female merchants have 1 voice for barter, and another voice for quest related questions.
12: Some the small versions of monsters like imps (kobolds), have that spaghetti-like stretched out look when I kill them.
Overall, I like what I have seen and amazed at some of the stuff.
My favorites:
1: The theater
2: The Khazad dum (dwemer) dungeon.
3: Treomar
4: Running from that first big troll in the very beginning.
5: Crossing the main bridge into Erothin
6: The Tyreal skeleton in Mortram (I'm a fan of Diablo 2).
7: The dungeon music with the drums (it was playing right when I had just fought the cave troll area in the dwemer dungeon).
8: Oddly, I loved the spider dungeon - I think it had destruction armor or something in it.

We know of 3, 5, 6 and 11 but cannot fix them. (5 is in the readme, with an instruction how to avoid this lag.) Who was "this one guy" in 4?
