I've been playing for about 10-12 hours so far and the only thing that really bothers me about this impressive mod is that almost all (or maybe even all) NPCs that are not related to my concrete quests have nothing to talk about. They either say that Aeterna are evil bastards or that they don't want to talk to me (I'm a Norman character). For instance, I've just come across a nice event - a group of middlerealm soldiers was hunting down northrealm guys and fell into a trap with logs. After that I looted them and wanted to talk to the Middlerealm soldiers and they said nothing apart from these few random quotes...

It's not a very significant drawback but it does impair the overall atmosphere of the game. Or maybe there's something about my character that's wrong? :P

edit: I've just come across another example of this: I came to Erothin for the first time and I have no idea why the main gate is closed. The guard will only say "I am on duty" and that's all. That's really weird...

Noticeboard on right of guard will tell you gates only open between 8am and 8pm. Sometimes there is a glitch where gates have not opened. Believe there is a post on this.

Played a couple of times as different race/character and non essential NPC's never have a lot to say. Most likelEy its such a huge mod/game they have concentrated on getting the MQ and sidequests right.
I see.

I still can't enter the city. I tried waiting until the next day and they are closed anyway (I'm within the provided timeframe).
What should I do?

edit: nevermind. it opened finally :)
Glad the gates fixed .. also i agree with different speech for AI
