Nehrim is a completely new game, but there are still some very Oblivion like things everywhere. And since there are new spells to be found, why not make new spell icons as well? I always liked the good old-school spell icons in Baldur's Gate - simple yet easy to understand. My target isn't only to replace the already existing icons, but also add differences where they should be (cure poison different from cure disease and so on).
Here are the already finished icons. Some of these may look different in final version (different colors), since this is a work in progress. Anyway, it's enough to make a picture from it.
From left to right: cure disease, cure paralysis, cure poison, fire damage, frost damage, drain health, fortify magicka, light, night eye (old version, new is the same color as light), restore health, shield (old version), fire shield, frost shield

If you have ideas for the icons then let me hear it! (Best after testing this beta, to know what is already included.) I still need to make the invisibility, chameleon, calm, command, frenzy, rally, demoralize, turn undead, disintegrate (weapon, armor) and weakness icons. (Conjuration icons for bound armor and conjure creatures are not included too. I didn't find a single one of those in the game, so it shouldn't matter anyway. I may make some for later releases.)

Looks great. Please make sure to post this on the Oblivion Mod forums as well, there are a couple of Nehrim threads there including one regarding available mods. A LOT more people read those forums than these..

I have figured out where the flaw lies. Unfortunately, it doesn't mean I can remove it easily as well, since it is part of how the Nehrim esm and esp files were made.
I'll ask the devs for help or any ideas that could help solve this. So far the beta is not playable, since it would break your game!
If anyone would like and esp less version, which only replaces the textures of the original icons, let me know! It isn't perfect, but you could at least try it out wothout the fear of damaging your game.

Alright, looks like I have figured out how to remove the flaw! It's a bit unorthodox for my taste, but it seems to work so far.

Wow, these look wonderful! Definately an improvement over the original. I can't wait until these are finished. 
Wonderful graphics. Most impressed. Love to try out when completed.
Believe there is only one in the game at the moment, "frostfinger" or some other such spell gained from a quest.

At the moment there are two concepts for these icons and I can't decide, which version is better (or if I should start once again form scratch).
