part is causing me issues.

Something in the background seems to attempt to load during these times and it locks the game up

Any ideas?

Yeah, loading screens the game hangs..... after about 5 minutes it'll snap in but overall I cant play it like this

Sorry for the question, but: did you try to restart your PC? As I said in another thread there is a chance that Skyrim loads bad things and errors into the cache - I had your problem, too once or twice and restarting my PC and/or deleting my autosaves solved the issue.
