Is the map supposed to look like this?




The very sharp edges look to me like vertices being cut off.

Yes, it's supposed to look like that. Nothing wrong with it.

I thought they were going for a 2d paper looking map.

It got cut out during the development of Enderal due to diverse problems with it's implementation.

We have the map you can see in the image above. Fair to say, it's far from perfect. The could make it look far better with the "uLockedTerrainLOD" settings in your config. But, we highly recommend to not do it, because it could destroy your saves or complete installation!
