as the title says i installed the game just fine and i can even start it up but when i click on new game and then yes it just closes back out to the main menu and sits there. whats going on and how can i fix this?

You can try the following steps.

1. Go to the Folder My Games\Oblivion
2. Delete the whole Folder (with all the Data)
3. Start Nehrim again. A new Folder will be created automatically.

Maybe thats the Problem

PS. If you have only Oblivion in the MY Games Folder you can delete the whole Folder
