Pretty much every time I try to fast travel I get this error, I think it sometimes stops me from waiting as well but it can be hard to tell with the message spam about leveling up (haven't done so since I want to find trainers first). It's making it rather irritating to get around. Sometimes saving and reloading the game will make fast travel work again briefly. I'm level two, still in/around the starting valley, near Stonefield right now. I have the steam version of Oblivion. I've got OBSE and A to take all hotkey mod installed, but the problem existed before I installed those so they're irrelevant, otherwise no other mods or changes were made to the game files. My player character has no diseases or magical effects, other than the level up notice, and none of the worn/held equipment is causing it either as unequiping everything does nothing.

Is there anything I can to to fix this?

I also somehow seem to have acquired a 1000g bounty, but that's less important.

What do you mean with "fast travel"?

The teleport spells? If yes, I haven't encountered that problem before. I can use the spells as long as I am not in a combat.
But the regular fast travel (clicking on a map marker in the map menu) is deactivated by default in Nehrim.
If you mean that, I wonder why you were able to use the function in the first place.

There are a few mods which enable the old fashioned system of Oblivion:

I cannot recommend any, since the teleport function of Nehrim has a variable which deactivated the function during some quests. That's useful if you want to be on the safe side. The fast travel function doesn't have such a system which means that you would be able to break your quests if you fast travel from a place where you cannot go back anymore to complete the quest for example.

Well that would explain why I'm unable to use the vanilla fast travel! On the note of the teleportation spells, I was able to teleport out of prison before sleeping on the bed, but then was still counting as being in the jail cell, I couldn't wait since it gives the message about needing to use the bed to serve the jail sentence. I reloaded a previous save and swore off teleporting out of prison, but I figured I'd note it.

I think I'll leave fast travel as is and hunt down some of those teleport spell guys.

I wonder why I could overlook that in my playthroughs ^^
I've added a simple fix into our mod, so teleporting is disabled while being in jail.
